showtimes

(crappy poem due to tiredness)

Hold my movie tickets while I buy the popcorn,
I look back and see you smiling.
We head to the movie, hand in hand,
excited to just be near each other.
Isaiah 40:8 - "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."

thumb war

1, 2, 3, 4, I declare a thumb war
Back and forth we go at it,
Trying to see who is right and wrong.
I yell at you, you tell at me back.
What are we doing wrong?

5, 6, 7, 8, try to keep your thumb straight
I cry and cry, can you please forgive me?
I love you, so dear, I didn’t mean harm.
Talk to me, I’ll figure things out.
Help me, forgive me, hold me close again.
Isaiah 40:8 - "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."

late at night when wolves howl

Notify my phone, show me attention
Late at night when wolves howl
When it is just us; you and I.
Text me, call me, from miles away
Let me know you are here for me
To keep me comforted throughout these
Late nights.
Isaiah 40:8 - "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."

Cotton chest

hold my heart to your cotton chest-
but make sure not to grip it too roughly,
or else it might shatter all over again.
Isaiah 40:8 - "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."

connected

our hands connect
and form as one-
like our hearts did,
not too long ago

adore | adorn

Adorn my neck in soft kisses,
instead of the diamonds I do not need.
Hold me close your cotton chest,
and stop the time of stress and broken life.
Keep me safe under summer blankets,
never make the winter come again.
Whisper me words to make me flattered,
adore me like I adore you.

alone in moonlight

Lampposts shine in those eyes of yours
My gaze trapped in wonder and lure
Our hands we held, warm and cold
Time was stopped in our perilous clock
Feel me here and tell me I'm yours
Before you disappear to leave me a puddle
You took my heart but controlled my mind
And spoke the words that you’re always here
In those days, it felt so nice
Even though we were just two teenagers
Alone in moonlight
Isaiah 40:8 - "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."

last chance

Bring your lips close to mine,
escape my thoughts into ecstasy.
Run your hands in my messy hair,
breathe heavily against the silk of my skin.
Love me as if it was your last chance-
the end of the world is after our slow kiss
Isaiah 40:8 - "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."
