I'm really excited to try this out! Am I allowed to also publish my poems to get reviews? Do people do that? Anyway I'm super excited (as I said before xD ). I'll get to writing! Yay!

1st Poem!
Bedtime Thoughts into Poetry

honey cakes, teddy bears and cats...
Why is it that I always think of cats in the evenings,
when the sun has set and the stars fill the sky?
Why do I always write about the night time,
and its lantern-like lights?
Why is my mind filled with thousands of questions,
when all I want to do is sleep?
I guess I'll just close my eyes...
and let my thoughts fade away...

But wait–
am I going to make this a poem again?

2nd Poem
Young Vagabond

I've become addicted to the repetition;
grown dependent on fresh starts.
My best friend is myself,
And the empty pages ahead.

I'm a young vagabond.
Please don't expect me to stay in one place.
Please don’t take it personally,
I've always been this way.

Now walk up to a well and put a wish in,
the rest did the same...
I don't have the time or patience;
Or the strength.

I'm a young vagabond,
Growing older, day by day...
You're a young mundane,
and you'll always be the same...

3rd Poem
Baby Stars

Baby stars, grow big and bright;
fill the sky with your pretty lights.
Be brave as you brighten the night, and
don’t be afraid to shine with all your might.

tick tock

tick tock

tick tock...

The hours on the clock.

tick tock

tick tock...

The haunting of the lock.

tick tock

tick tock...

Whatever's coming's stopped......
...
.
tick tock

tick tonk...

clunk.

5th Poem
The Red Bird

The faint ding of a wind chime,
that was moved not by the wind
but the red bird,
who carelessly flies to the bird feeder,
and I'll just sit here and sip my morning tea
while you, little red bird, eat.

6th Poem
Grow Down

We laid spread out on a king size bed,
watching the fan above spin
around and around.

"Joffrey?"
I asked, my voice small in the sea of darkness.

"Mm?"

"I don't want to grow up,
I think-
I think,
I'd much rather grow down."

And all I got in return was a silence chuckled and a,
"Go to sleep, Alice."

7th Poem
Coffee

There once was a cat.
She was coffee,
She was warm and comforting
and she was a blanket on a cold winter night.

There once was a cat.
And she was everything to me,
far better than any human,
far better than anything.

Spoiler! :
I don't even like coffee xD (well I like the smell)

8th Poem
Turmoil

I've been dealing with the turmoil all my life.
The turmoil is friendship, if that’s even a thing,
because what you call friendship is not what it seems,
and no matter how many angry poems I write,
and no matter how many times I promise to myself
to end it all because it's not worth it, you're not worth it,
it never stops. You never stop.

In my mind I make you out to be a monster,
a horrible mind twisting monster.
I wonder how you have friends and not me.
And as I think about it more and I wonder,
am I a monster? Is it all my fault?
Because we both created this, I mean you have to admit,
we're both the creators of this hellish turmoil.

And what's funny to me is that I've heard them say,
"She seems happier"
But darlings,
I just hide it better than her...
and seriously
I don't care anymore.
Honestly, I don't care anymore.

9th Poem
I don't

I don't want to wake up mourning;
I don’t want to just be fine.
I don't want to keep accepting;
without caring about the price.
I don't want to keep on acting;
I don't want to keep a smile.
I don't want to keep on hoping;
without a single doubt in mind.
I don't want to be left here drowning;
not this time, no, not this time.
I want to keep on climbing;
and forget what I leave behind.
and forget what I leave behind.

10th Poem
Ripples

Rain drops fell from the roof above,
and disturbed the still water of the puddle,
creating ripples; making leaf boats sail.
I sat there with my knees against my chest
and my hands in the mud.
There just isn't anything better than spring showers,
is there?

11th Poem
It's Freakin' Spring!

The air smelled of fresh flowers
and spring showers.
I stood waiting under an old oak
and suddenly you awoke.
You rubbed your eyes and yawned,
lying there by the pond.
The gentle wind danced around
and you looked up with a frown.
You complain about being woken up,
but I just stared at some buttercups.
See I don't have time for your negativity,
it's spring, a time for festivity.
Do us all a favor and be happy.
No one likes a grumpy.

12th Poem
Shattered Glass

Like shattered glass,
my breaths are uneven and broken.
They are fragile like a mad man's mind.
No amount of air I take in satisfies my dying lungs,
which crave only one thing, you.
An instinct so many were born with was lost,
every breath is a battle to stay alive.
Why should I live when I could not save you?
Your absence carves into my skin,
it haunts me with never healing scars.
Like shattered glass,
against my heart.

13th Poem
Closure

Closure, what a bastard.
A ruiner of plans
and a taunter of sins.
Closure, it calls me back.
It causes me to build bridges
I've already burnt.
Closure, the assassin you've sent.
My stubborn mind cannot deny
no matter how hard it tries.
Closure, the only reason
I'm hearing your words.
So you better be grateful
for closure.

14th Poem
Storm

You are like the ocean;
unpredictable like a storm.
You call me out to drown,
and even if I am able to swim
you'll claw me down.
Under your strong currents;
into the darkness of depression.
Where my lung won't breath,
and my eyes are cloudy.
You're cunning like the creeping storm;
and like the monsters in the deep.
I'll fight back but lose as I am too weak.
So I'll surrender all hope and let my body go limp;
as I sink to the floor in mortal defeat.
The air that remains will fly from my lips,
and my glassy eyes will look to the angels above.
As I start my last night's sleep.
