Graffiti
The argument is well known
Is it art
Or is it vandalism

The crisp yellows
In neat little lines
The reflective yellows
Just pointing a sign

A sign to a gem
A gem to a bank
And from the bank
You get to the smuggling man

A dangerous occupation
Even if they aren't
Making an interfering
Deal

For the ones that we love
We would do any task
Even if it involves death
Sometimes even a mask

Heroes hide behind the truth
Not letting their emotions show through
They rest with angels
That is their way

But don't for a moment
They are angels
They are not gods
They are not immortal

All men will fall someday
Because you can try
And be almighty
But you will fall as a human

16.
My life is hectic
And it's sad
Don't dare tell me
You don't have it so bad

I know lucky
By some accounts
But honey
That's not what I feel like now

I take stride
I try to stay
Standing tall
Trying to fall

But I fall a lot
Go all the way down
And I hit my head often
On the cold, cold hard ground

Life is living
Through mistakes
But I've enough
To fill two or three

Where did I go wrong?
How did I get here?
What did I do to you?
And why the pain, for nothing?

I try and stand up
I try and walk
But the pain for nothing
Is too much

17.
What should I do now?
I've got so much time
On my hands
Waiting for you

I'm sitting here
In the station
Waiting for the train
Waiting for you, one more time

I'm dialing the phone
Calling to make sure you're coming
The operator tells me
My call didn't through

Oh honey
What did I do?
I'd write a love letter
But wouldn't respond

You're barely here anymore
I just wish you'd come back to me
And you would see
How happy we could be

But you don't believe
In this anymore
You said it was so
When you walked door

How could I have ever loved you?
You've never loved me
Don't say that's not true
Because we know you

That's why I writing to you
To just see
If you'll come home
To just see maybe

I'm running out of things say
I can't take it anymore darling
I don't how to tell you anyways
All I know how to say

Is just this one old phrase
Maybe you'll like
Maybe not
Because look into my eyes and see I'm saying

I love you
I love you
That's all that I know
'Cause I love you

18.
There's not much time left for me
And eventually you'll see
For the last five poems
Maybe the last ten

I've been making up
As I go along
Does this look good here?
I think so my dear

What about line 3?
What am I going to honey?
I could write anything
I could write an ode

Or I could even write about
The bullfrogs and the toads
Maybe that's nonsense
Maybe it makes sense

But at the moment
It's perfect
I really only need
Ten or so more lines

Until I have the perfect poem
Well maybe not perfect
To the public
But in my mind, it's perfect to me

I need to write an ending
But I'm not sure how
My endings always funky
Never quite know how they sound

They should really go with music
If you want to hear them right
But unfortunately for now
They'll just have to stand out of the light

19.
Moriarty
My friend
Why did you have to go?
Committing suicide

You tricked us all
Even Sherlock Holmes
You were the greatest
Why did they kill you off?

The books didn't need to be followed
They could have made up
Because everybody knows
Everybody loved Jim

Jim isn't James
And James is Jim
We all know it's true
But no one would admit

James is formal
And left so far behind
Jim is from IT
And is still living

Season Four is coming
Soon you shall be resurrected
Oh why oh why
Did you have to die?

Because this is the end
Well maybe not
But it has felt this way
For far too long

We got the special
But it's 2016
Two years in between
Means time's running up

Where oh where
Is it now
I really need to know
Because an ode, can only go on so long

Oh Jim, why
Did I ever have to say goodbye
Darn it BBC
Do you what you've done to me?

Just give me number 4
And I'll go away
For all eternity
Maybe even season 5

So good bye Jim
Our time to part has come
You're my favorite character
Please show up again soon

20.
Line by line
Word by word
Period after period
Commas dancing in the rows

I swear that I'll finish NaPo
I know it was probably wrong
To make such a decision
When I wasn't strong

But now I'm here
20 poems in
And I know that
I can finish

It only has to be a couple stanzas
Maybe no more than five
But that is too quick
To write a good poem

Why oh why did I ever agree
To sell my soul to YWS
To write a contract on a whim
Why oh why did I ever agree

Maybe 8 stanzas would better
But how many lines
Four or more
Four or less

What is the right time
Should I set the measure
Or does that belong
To another form of writing

I don't cause it's been so long
Trying just to write
One poem
A day

One poem a day
I don't know but this is my end
I've got to write ten
In two days

the brigadier rides again!

21.
I'm not a poet
In fact, I'm barely a writer
Does 20 poems makes me a poet?
Does 5 failed novels make me a writer?

The questions is simple
But the answer is not
I make rash decisions
And never go through

I cause pain to those around me
Make them suffer from my lies
My betrayals happen often
But mostly I can hide

I say one thing and do another
But this is my life
And I'll live it
Even for the pain of others

They should have known before talking
That I am perfectly insane
Not perfect in any other way
Just when I'm insane

I write about the sad, cold, dreary parts of the world
Excluding happiness from every thought or will
When you finish reading my grand masterpiece
The fear and the sadness will over take

Would like to see puppies
Or kitties
Or sweets
Or maybe some ice cream will cure the bad

Isn't that we say, to little children
"Don't be afraid of the dark."
But in reality,
The worst things of life, hide in the darkness

Or "Check under you bed for monsters."
But what are the monsters
Big green, ugly, strong characters
Or are they the weak and the ones we never expect

A good monster wouldn't hide under a bed
Or in the closest
Or right up by your head
It would plan an attack, with each strategic move

Are monsters afraid of the light?
Yes, I believe they are
Let me flip open the curtains
And banish the dark

22.
Dad's has gone hunting
Not for deer but demons
He's left us clues
And a woman in white

We've got to carry on a destiny
We should be finding Dad
Dad will show up if he wants to be found
You always were the good little soldier

Dad is a demon
We should have known before
Because he was and complimented
My shot gun skills

Yellow eyes and twice as nice
Even though he's murdered my family
That's how knew, it wasn't you
That's how I knew Daddy

I went to hell and then came back
Raised by an angel
Sammy had installed the MP3 player
In the Impala

And tossed window as we were cruising down the road
Castiel, well he's an angel
A servant of heaven
Maybe he'll actually turn out to be my savior

And we just keep driving down the road
Hunting monsters as they come our way
That's just the family destiny

23. Tale of Moriarty: Part 2
Good bye James Moriarty
Though we never really knew your real name
Was Richard Brook or
Something different all the same

You walked above the other criminals
Not being tied down by those connecting strings
You were just a consultant
Never being the one to pull the trigger

You were once an artist
But then killed a man
Well not a man but boy
You probably made your life hell

Now you do the same
Just waiting for a challenge
Was the Chinese mob not good enough?
Who will it have to be, to battle our god?

It sounds like you were
The perfect killer
Never a trace
Never a whisper

But then along came a challenge
One you couldn't resist
His name was
Sherlock Holmes

So you kidnapped John
And hired some snipers
Led um to the pool
Lit up with dynamite

Don't give Sherlock a gun
He's not to be trusted
He stole it from John
But gonna light up the dynamite

And cameras stop
We'll pick back up here next year
Make all the fangirls
Turn into tears

24. Tale of Moriarty: Part 3
Featuring the thoughts of fellow Sherlock fans.

While trying to finish NaPo
I concluded it was not going well at all
And finally decided to write
An ode to moriarty

This turned into two
And I thought maybe even three
And here I am writing the third
Knowing not what to say

So I went to my good friend and fellow fan
To hear what the great and wise Star would say
Maybe give me some inspiration
Help me somewhere along the way

So I presented my case
And a few lines
Let them ponder upon that
And they told me a couple of things

Well, Moriarty is Moriarty

And for this I didn't even get chance to explain
Before moved on, to another fiction
Of the greatest television, ever invented

There are lot of things you could write about

And once more I had no chance
Before they continued
With Sebastian

And on and on went the conversation
Praising Jim more and more
Then came the questions
About Sherlock's observations

Jim is a complex character
And I could write in Victorian style
I could give him the highest standing
Far above Jack the Ripper

Locked in mind palace
Locked away in cell
Just a madman and a gun
What will he do now

Moriarty lies
And how does Holmes know
Another season is coming
Maybe then we shall know

the brigadier rides again!

25.
This has to be the time
I've have to run out soon
Of really bad ideas
That should have never been taken down

But for some reason
I think someone still reading
Poems that I write on whim
Forcing myself to make them sort of rhyme

This isn't really the best time
To enter into a competition
With school and all
But for some reason, I just keep making commitments

Sign up here, sign up there
Of course I'll review 20 chapters
I'll take down maybe I'll close the thread
How do I get out of this club now?

I started war for no reason
Watched and waited for just one person
Then I decided, when I would do it
June 9th is the perfect date

Or I could wait till November
Specifically the 13th
Once I'm year old
Maybe I'll mean more to the site

Hopefully 6 stars by then
But judging by current pace
I'd have to do
Ten a day

I can manage that many poems
But reviews take me too long
Hmm...
Maybe Review Day is my chance

26.
Upon joining YWS
I found out a very important thing
To succeed in making posts
You needed to know a couple of things

You need to know how to do bold
It would be nice to even know italics
Underline is useful
And so is strike through

But I didn't read the FAQ
And slowly I had to learn
How to do colors
Or to insert urls

Most of all I was fascinated by one technique
To have text swirling back and forth
Something I later learned was called
Marquee

It was easy to learn about tagging
And how to quote
But I still haven't quite figured out
How to adjust the size from large to small

It was fun to learn about spoilers
While laughing about Doctor Who
Spoiler! :
And then crying

BBCode isn't complicated after all

*in a opera voice*
Mayyyy Dayyyy
Review Dayyyyy
Why aren't you cheering?

This will the month
that we finally
clear the green room
finally

I've never seen it happen
but it supposed to be great
The most magical thing ever
next to Cinderella

I may or may not be on winning team
but that has never ever mattered to me
I've been a loser
And I've been winner

But it doesn't really matter
It looks we will be Earth Benders
writing reviews
just from the dust

From dusk to dawn
Of first day of May
Will review
Anything in site

We will clear the green room
Just in one night
This is the month, I can feel it
The goal of 400 will be reached

Last time I checked
it was under 300
which means we'll have a couple to spare
I'm sure we couldn't find a piece that a needed a review anywhere

Maybe I'll finish out the forum
write a couple pieces of my own
write an ode to honor review day
May Day Review Day is coming soon

A day has come and gone again
And now I'm flicking through
What's on television
at nearly 10 pm?

Oh look, do you see?
All the marathons they're running on tv
I could watch suave James Bond
Or I could flick to the Hitchcock-thon

And flick to another channel once more
Here I find, 8 times, Jason
Back from the dead over and over again
This time he's on a cruise ship

Flip to another channel
And they have the horrible re-make of I SPY
I clicked the remote once more
Can't I sit through Tattletales just to watch the Match game

Never mind because
Hogan's Heroes is now on
*let several minutes of time pass, maybe even an hour*
Crap, it's over. Now I have to start searching again.
