Day Twenty-Six -
28. how does one judge without heart?

sit down. we've needed to talk for a while.
take a drink. it's been a tough day for you,
i know. what is feels liked to me
is that you need to take a good long
look at what you're seeing. it may surprise you.

have you ever seen with your eyes? people say
'look with your heart and not with your eyes' to show
we judge with our eyes. since when? it takes
heart felt choice to decide: I don't like you.
You are inferior to me, to people.

so why is looking with your eyes so bad?

have you ever see with your eyes, alone? it's all
so pure and clear. the normal lines around you
shadowing everyone around us, seem to fade
just like the invisible boundaries they are.

think about it.
look with your eyes
more often, leave your heart
out of it.

Day Twenty-Seven -
29. Shadow People

Underneath a setting sun,
the wind comes out, and spirits run
so free among the midnight breeze,
the night so cold that you could freeze.

A chilling snap sound fills your ears,
igniting all of your worst fears.
The night crumbles around your tomb
that comes from this impending doom.
All the bad luck comes from the moon -

you swear you hear a knuckle pop
along a tree, the wind makes rock.
It could be just a silhouette
but nothing is that calm, you fret.

A moonlight wonder on the moor,
keeps the beggars back for more.
Phantoms watching, waiting to dine
on fleshes, souls, and sober minds
that appeal to their taste so refined.

Under the darkness, that creature you see
is blacker than night, under that tree
you saw shake and heard it make a sound.
You should hope it doesn't come around

to notice you're lost among these faint dreams
and you managed to slip deep, deep through the seems
that the world stitched to hold in all of the life
and keep out the shadows, with everlasting strife.

Beware the people trapped in shadows
who dared to creep into darkened pit.
They tried to escape, and left living widows,
like you, who ventured, and so your soul split.

Day Twenty-Eight -
30. Sad Love Story

I feel for you, gnawing at my heart
without stop. Like an endless heart attack -
or was that the Big Mac?
(I can never really tell the difference)
between our love and our lover's
eyes, because they are one in the same!
One is so pink and swollen,
from a hit of Cupid's arrow, and
the other makes you look pink
and swollen. Oh wait -

No, darling. I did not just
call you fat
(even if I meant it.)
I mean, just look at those big meaty legs! Like chickens'
wings, that I could devour. Easily
for even more yearning for you.

Baby? Come back to my arm; now
you know I can't run very fast or
far. Away, you fly, like a wrapper
in the wind with an extra fry in it.
I must have that fry! I am not whole
without its fattiness.

Spoiler! :
This was my terrible attempt at satire poetry. Uh, go ahead and judge me xD But NaPo is completed!!

"It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth. I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth. I didn't feel like a giant. I felt very, very small."
— Neil Armstrong
