We're getting prepared well ahead of schedule this year so you've got no excuse not to take part!

If you already know what I'm talking about, sign up below. If you don't know then read on!

NaPoWriMo is when some crazy poets (like @Meshugenah) set ourselves the task of writing 30 poems in just one month. The traditionalists will try to write one poem every day, but as long as you've got 30 poems by the end of April, you have officially beaten the challenge!

The event starts on April 1st and the only rule is that you may not write any poetry until then. You can, however, jot down ideas for poems or make a list of themes. Some people like to use one theme for the whole event and have all thirty of their poems revolve around it, but others find it easier to go with the flow and write whatever comes to mind.

Feel free to ask questions in this thread!

I am in.

I am also sticking to the traditionalist route of one poem a day.

I'm in-- I've started my theme ahead of time, but I'll still be writing 30 new poems (or more o: ) by the end of this.

I'm in. :)

I have a question; What if I already write a poem every day? I don't plan on skipping writing poetry till April. It'd kill me ;o

That's okay @SecreteJournalist! It just means you're better prepared than the rest of us but so long as you only post poems written during April in your thread then you're fine :)

Don't know how far I will get but since I am on the slam team for my school this would be the perfect excuse to do this.
