-------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, enough drama. Hey guys! You might have noticed, but I have far too many points and nothing to spend them on. So I thought I'd give them away in a bit of a creative way - a contest!
The idea is simple: contestants will be paired up duel with one other person to write the most reviews of any kind in a single week. Rounds will start at 12 AM Sunday GMT and end at 11:59 PM Friday GMT. (So it's six days, technically, just to allow for a bit of a break and give me time to announce the results.) You can sign up for the next round during the previous round, but you cannot join a round once it has begun. Sign-ups for any round close exactly 24 hours before the round starts (again, to give me time to process pairings).
As such, Round 1 signups are open between now and . Round 1 will begin on . (Automatically adjusted to your timezone.)
I will be posting a weekly contestant and pairings list. You can either sign up as a recurring participant or a one-time participant. If you chose to be a recurring participant, you will be automatically paired with someone each week the contest runs, without having to sign up again. And if you happen to have already challenged your friend to a review duel, the two of you can sign up as a pair and be automatically pitted against each other! Otherwise, pairings will be randomly selected.
If there are an odd number of participants in any one week, I will join the contest and be someone's opponent to even out the numbers. (Because I need motivation to review too. )
And now, what you have all been waiting for...
Prizes
1-4 reviews - 200 points
5-9 reviews - 800 points
10-14 reviews - 1400 points and a review from me
15-19 reviews - 2000 points and a review from me
20+ reviews - 2500 points and a review from me
These are for the winner of each pair. So if you do five reviews, but your opponent did six, better luck next time! However, each losing participant who writes at least five reviews will receive 200 points.
Just fill out the form below and post in the thread to sign up!

A Note on Quality over Quantity
Although this contest focuses on the number of reviews you can write in a week, quality should always come over quantity. A couple of well thought-out reviews are always better than five rushed, mostly filler ones. If you ever find yourself unsure of what to say in a review, these articles are chock-full of reviewing tips will be sure to help! I reserve the right to disqualify anyone from the competition in the event of spam or extremely low-effort reviews. (I really don't think I'll have to, but be warned.)
Final Notes
This contest will last as long as I have the points to run it! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or ask in the thread,
We welcome all reviewers, new or old, rusty or in your prime! All it takes is an Internet connection and some determination. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and step into the arena. The crowds are waiting.
It begins.
