The Journal of Unlikely Entomology is looking for fiction about bugs. And they pay!

In case you want to write something shorter than a novel, or already have something you could submit check this out. The Journal of Unlikely Entomology is looking for short stories that involve bugs/insects/arachnids in some non-trivial way. Check it out and submit but make sure to read the submission guidelines as well.

Thanks to jezebellydancer on the NaNoWriMo forums for posting about this contest.
Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
