Yo, here's another podcast writing opportunity!

Escape Pod is a science fiction market. We are fairly flexible on what counts as science (we’ll delve into superheroes or steampunk on occasion) and are interested in exploring the range of the genre. We want stories that center on science, technology, future projections, and/or alternate history, and how any or all of these things intersect with people.

Wordcount: 1500-6000 words

We publish original and reprint short fiction. We do not accept poetry, serialized fiction, novel excerpts, or non-fiction.

Payment for original fiction: USD $0.06 per word
We are an SFWA qualifying market for original fiction.
Payment for reprint fiction: USD $100 per story

They don't accept simultaneous submissions (can't submit the same story to multiple places) or multiple submissions (can't submit multiple stories to Escape Pod).

Diversity: Escape Pod welcomes submissions from writers of all backgrounds.. [...] When in doubt, please don’t self-reject. We appreciate you entrusting us with your stories.

Good news for young writers!
Authors under 18 are welcome. By submitting, any author under 18 asserts they have obtained the permission of a parent or guardian with whom Escape Artists, Inc. can enter into a contract on behalf of the author.
