Granted, but now you have no feelings.

I wish for motivation and inspiration.

Granted! But every time the person makes a wish their previous one was so corrupted that it kills their friends

I wish that I was like Sherlock Holmes (Super smart and can deduce anything)

Granted! But now you never turn that off, ever. You can't look, hear, smell, taste or touch anything without ruthlessly analyzing it. Are you sitting on a couch? You can't think of anything else except where it came from. Are you drinking coffee? You can't rest until you've figured out each and every ingredient and the exact place the beans came from.

I wish I was a better person

Granted,but you will always be telling people how bad they are and how you can fix their problems
I wish that I could write a haiku that wasn't about nature and it still be a haiku.

Granted, but now you can never write a poem about nature again.

I wish I could have my own room

Granted, but now this is the only room that you can be in.

I wish I was stronger mentally.

Granted! BUT you are horribly, horribly weak physically.

I wish the world was more like a video game.

Granted! But you lost the video game before completing level one

Granted!! But then half way through flight you lose the ability and fall into a wood chipper.

Granted, but you still aren't the happiest with yourself the way you are.

Granted, but your only bestselling books are steamy romance novels for upper middle class 40-something year old women.
