Basically in baptism and confirmation for the Roman Catholic Church, a special oil is smeared on your head. Did I mention it was special? In any case, it's called Chrism.
In the times of the old testament, this oil was only used three times.
1. If a new king was coronated.
2. If a new prophet was found.
3. If a high priest would be elected.
In each of the cases, a fantastic celebration would ensue, in which the oil was eventually spread.
Now, in my faith, Jesus is not one, not two, but three of the above! He is king and prophet, and the high priest! Pretty cool, huh? And since, in my faith again, I have been accepted into His family, then that makes me royalty.
Princess Snoink... now that has a ring to it, no?
