the tides shifting sounded like a city moving through the hole in a conch shell tires rolling into a future that was not as uncertain as it seemed and yes the moon ruled the tides as it ruled it all everything moved at night like the slender sillouhette of a man whose fit arms were taught as he scaled a building he struggled but completed his task meticulously the sound of the tides hid the noise of the broken glass flashing lights dimmed by the moons bright glow his shadow was cast on the building by search lights but he evaded them like any who've ever planned an exit the shadow was tall and slender with broad shoulders and they did carry much responsibility but the lady who had fallen in the apartment laid unconcious barely touched as he departed the search lights never stopped however the man was wanted for murder forever he was not the only one who had invaded her home that night he was just the first to leave

the other who was waiting stood there like a doorstop to the closet he didn't own before that he had stood in the parking lot waiting on a girl he used to know he had roses in his hands gripped tight those cruel hands bled from the fury of their thorns the ladies refusal had fallen upon deaf ears pushed by the thought of an eternity he couldn't bring himself to an eternity alone only in her presence he frantically thought so he followed her home soft steps hidden by the tides noise subtle movements looked over probably just the flashing lights heavy breath no its just the wind blowing he watched as she reassured herself he waited twenty minutes standing in the rain for her to fall asleep he let himself in with her backup key that was when the robbery took place but he never took anything besides the ladies life and grace
