PERSONALITY QUIZ:
HOGWARTS HOUSE BASED ON YWS ACTIVITY

I wrote a Poet Personality Quiz back in February for Squills and thought it was pretty neat seeing the results, this week you probably noticed that there were a couple Hogwarts House quizzes going around and people sharing whether or not the quiz seemed accurate. @Mea posted a wonderfully thorough quiz that gives you primary and secondary houses, and @hiraeth posted a quiz with a super interesting set of questions. Both are super fun quizzes to try out if you like Harry Potter and haven't checked them out yet.

If you’re still not sure about your results, or just love personality quizzes, why not try out this quiz which is based on your YWS and writing activity? The answers are honestly based more or less on stereotypical views of each house, but hopefully you enjoy it anyways! Just mark down your answer for each question and at the end you’ll be able to add them up to see which Hogwarts House you belong to.

Question 1 What is your preferred reviewing method?
* A. I'm going to say what I think. That'll have some criticism and praise if deserved, but that's how we improve.
* B. COMPLIMENTS / SHOUTS / EMOJIS / EXCITED REACTS ONLY <3333 LOVED THIS WORK DUDE!
* C. Review Sandwich or a quick interpretation, I want to encourage, the main purpose of reviewing is to encourage not tear down.
* D. We're doing a line-by-line, and I've got my Knowledge Base articles saved in my browser bookmarks, so it's going to be thorough and informative!

Question 2 What’s your writing set-up?
* A. My moleskin journal and my writing chart, and I like to have a few pictures of my favorite authors or novels next to my desk.
* B. Wherever I am when inspiration strikes, the back of a receipt, the corner of a napkin.
* C. Somewhere comfy, with my favorite notebook and a cup of tea nearby, writing takes patience so I'm going to be here for a while.
* D. I like my desk to be as organized as possible and have a few favorite pens, not a lot of clutter. A plot-outline or some world-building maps might be stacked on my desk.

Question 3 Where do you find yourself during a poetry jam or write-in?
* A. Reading through what other people are writing, or revising my work.
* B. Definitely the chat bar.
* C. Collaborative writing or giving feedback on other people’s writing. <3
* D. Checking off my 12 part to-do list or collecting research.

Question 4 Who is actually the ultimate YWS mascot?
* A. The Dragon, clearly.
* B. Monkeys for the win! (though honestly Pat Buchanan is a close second-place)
* C. Kangaroos forever!
* D. According to the last official poll it was @TheEgg.

Question 5 What’s your NaPoWriMo or NaNoWriMo goal?
* A. Getting the best drafts written that I possibly can.
* B. It’s all or nothing, I’m going for it all. 30 poems or 50,000 words!
* C. Keeping up with what everyone’s writing and being part of the writing community.
* D. Improving my writing skills.

Question 6 Which club would you most likely post in?
* A. Knights of the Green Room
* B. Roleplay Geeks
* C. Accountability Club
* D. Unclassified or Classified

Question 7: What works do you tend to read the most on YWS?
* A. Novel chapters
* B. Storybooks
* C. Poetry
* D. Squills

Question 8 Why do you write?
* A. I’m working on getting published
* B. I have a story the world needs to hear
* C. Processing my life and emotions
* D. To figure out what my thoughts are

Question 9 Which title sounds most like your current Work in Progress project?
* A. The King's Past Uncovered
* B. The Final Quest Across a Hundred Miles
* C. We Brothers Find our Way Home
* D. Coordinates Tread and Left Behind

Question 10 What would you most like your YWS legacy to be?
* A. Be a part of the Moderator Green Team
* B. Have a work in the Top 100 Literary Spotlight
* C. Complete an entire Storybook with my best YWS Friends.
* D. Have made a significant contribution reviewing, or even have an article in the YWS Knowledge Base

Question 11 What’s your favorite YWS Event?
* A. Last Man Standing (LMS)
* B. YWS Olympics
* C. YWS Birthday Week
* D. Review Month

Question 12 And finally, because the sorting hat takes your preference into account, which house do you think you would most like to be put in?
* A. Syltherin
* B. Gryffindor
* C. Hufflepuff
* D. Ravenclaw

That’s it! You can add up how many of each letter you got and use the key below to find your Hogwarts House, I’d love to know what answers you got. If you took the quiz, feel free to comment below or even suggest other YWS based questions you would have included. (Thanks @tgirly for the help formulating some of the answers!)

Spoiler! :

Mostly A: Slytherin
Mostly B: Gryffindor
Mostly C: Hufflepuff
Mostly D: Ravenclaw

EDIT Can you please keep responses to this thread limited to sharing results from this quiz and Hogwarts House or Harry Potter related commentary rather than a chat-thread for the sake of my notifications. Thank you in advance!

Holey cheese I got Ravenclaw. :0

I was expecting Gryffindor but now I guess I really have changed. Good bye, Gryffindor. Hello, Ravenclaw.

Guess who's going to be changing a bit of their About page? That's right. Me.

Leaning slightly towards Ravenclaw, but with a good amount of Hufflepuff and some Slytherin thrown in there. Pretty much perfectly describes me.

I got Hufflepuff, with Gryffindor and Ravenclaw tied for second. I think it makes a lot of sense that Gryffindor scores higher for me in writing-related questions than the average quiz. Intriguing.

Equally Ravenclaw and Slytherin, though admittedly by the end I was figuring out which was which and using it to split ties towards Ravenclaw. I never get Slytherin on anything else, but guess I am pretty ambitious in my writing, so maybe it makes sense here!
We're all stories in the end.

I think of you as a fairy with a green dress and a flower crown and stuff.

I think you, @Deanie and I are like the Three Book Nerd Musketeers of YWS.
