@Verser, if you look at the murder rate in cities with with anti gun laws you find them very high. If you look in the cities that allow them, you find them much lower. What does that tell you? I mean, if you wanted to shoot someone, would you attack someone that was armed or would you attack someone that wasn't?

And those incidents you mentioned, take that one with the old man. If there had been one person armed in that theater there would have been one person killed. And that would have been him.

Oh, and I'm not worried about the blasted terrorists. Having armed citizens tends to keep the government in check.

And one more thing, murders are committed with baseball bats and kitchen knives. Are you going to ban those as well?

Point One: Your first point was ''gun death stats are higher in places with more gun laws'' Well, as you can see from the four credible links I just gave you comparing gun death stats/ policies in the U.S and the U.K that is completely wrong.

Point Two: No, that's the equivalent of fighting fire with fire. The only reason why I'm not sourcing why you're completely wrong is because I have to sleep. If you put a armed guard in the theater that would only start a firefight and a chance for even more casualties. In fact Texas Governor Rick Perry pushed for a law to have armed guards in theaters and he was denied. This shows that throwing more guns at a situation wont work and will never work.

Point Three: http://www.m1911.org/folders-r-us/statistics.htm As you can see, blunt trauma deaths make up one percent of American deaths while guns make up 49%, so actually, if we banned guns, we'd have 6,000 less people dying. I would much rather have a death rate of 1% than a death rate of 49% don't you?
