Hello!
I am here to write a little bit about this weird condition that I have called synesthesia

Types:
Grapheme-Color Synesthesia

Characteristics: Letters and numbers have color. And so do words, based on the color of the letters in that word. And however many digit numbers.

The good:

I am excellent at spelling because I easily memorize the words color, and history cause I can remember the date

The bad:

It is hard for me to learn languages:

Example:
the word friend is lavender, whereas amiga is reddish brown, and my brain has trouble connecting those.

Type Number 2: Time Unit to Color

Characteristics:
Months and Days of the week have color

The good: I easily remembered the order of the months by there color

The bad:

None

Type number 3: A bit of emotion color synesthesia

Characteristics:

Emotions have color. Example: annoyed is bright orange

The good:
It isn't good, or bad really.

The bad:

Sometimes if I meet a new person and they are wearing a green t-shirt, I will expect them to be sad because green is the color of sad.

Overall, I am very lucky to have synesthesia.

A lot of people say it is a brain disorder, but it is a gift.

@hannah0528 okay then, "anything" is a word that means, well, any sort of thing. It's kind of a generic word that I can't explain very well. I guess Everything could be an anything.

Hi I'm bored.

My back is bent like a shrimp
I wish I could disapear in a blimp

This poem isn't going anywhere

Hmm I guess I'll keep a list here of the sort of sounds I like!

Rules:
1. It mustn't be a song, that'll be too long a list
2. It mustn't be a nature sound, because that's Arc (g'home, Lim)

  • Typing sounds on a keyboard with big ol' keys. Not flat keys, but big ol' keys you see hackers use in early 2000s films. I mean early 2000s keyboards, what am I talking about?
  • The sound of a metal teaspoon tapping the sides of a porcelain mug.
  • The sound of a dog's paws tapping against the floor at home, especially if they're quick because that's how you know doggo is happ.
  • WINDCHIMES. I cannot believe I forgot about windchimes until this part of the list. I love all kinds of windchimes, from the metal sonorous ones my Grandma has to the more tinkly ones my Grandpa has (they're tinkly because they're smaller). I've also heard a wooden windchime before on an ambience and I love the way it sounds. All hollow and big and clunk-clunk.
  • A quiet buzz when a machine is being switched on.
  • @soundofmind :D
  • The sound of my ceiling fan late at night when nothing else is on, and it's almost like a self-creating gale trapped within these concrete walls
  • The soft whirring of my laptop when it's charging
  • To be continued . . .
she/her

.
Have you met my friend, The Story Review Template?

“Can a magician kill a man by magic?” Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. “I suppose a magician might,” he admitted, “but a gentleman never could.”
