This is Arkham Asylum, home to hundreds of the most dangerous villains in the world. A maximum security mental institution, Arkham is a violent place, but the inmates usually learn to get along and socialise. The security is very tight, and brawls will often end in purportrators loked in their cells and given a three day detention. Have as much fun as you can in this despicable place, but don't even dare try and escape. You got that?

Yes, in this chit-chat you can play any villain of yours (or a ready made one), realistic or not so (you can control more than one at a time). As mentioned brawls will be broken up (with technology made by Leech corp, making all superpowers nullified for a limited time), but that will take a little bit of time, so the brawl can be enjoyed for the time. A few rules:

No sex (references allowed)
No vasty inappropriate language
NO GODMODDING (sorry had to make that one clear, I get it way too much)
No killing other peoples characters
And, of course, have fun!

p.s 1st person pov is preffered, and please place the name of your character at the top of each post.

Basilisk

I looked out of my cell, and decided to go for a stroll. I pulled the sliding metal door to the side and stepped out of the dark, humid chamber, the dank, cold air making me shiver. I closed my cell door and locked it with my personal code, before walking to the mess hall (cafeteria). I saw a few familiar faces along the way; the oddly blissful face of The Joker, the tank like body of Brigade, the list goes on.

My crocodile like tail sweeps open the mess hall doors, and my muscular, eight feet, deep green, leather body made it's way across the grimy grey tiled floor. I got in line at the cafeteria, and eyed the last raw, bloody steak left on the counter. It looked tasty, but so did the gentleman in front of me...

Dr. Raithen

I sat on my bunk, observing the inmates pass by. Each seemed either too stupid or too preoccupied to notice me; just as well, as I hate to be disturbed.
While, outwardly, I appeared to be dozing, I was working hard to think of a foolproof way to kill each and every person who walked past, should the need arise. Many had easily identifiable weaknesses, visibly in the way they carried themselves, but others looked decidedly more of a challenge.
I smiled behind my mask.
I like a challenge.

Brigade

I hulked down the corridor towards the courtyard, maybe see if there were some fights going on, I had the urge to bust some skulls. The orange jumpsuit covering my body was very tight, you could still see my bulging muscles protruding from the clothing. I nodded to Basilisk as he passed me. The double doors at the end of the corridor was open.

Outside it was sunny, for once. There were other inmates playing a variety of sports, from football to baseball. I looked around to see if there were any chumps worth beating. I might have been able to get some amusement from this dead-end place.

sitting on the ground in the courtyard i scowl silently at the other inmates. i try to ignore their stares. my jumpsuit is too small and the top buttons have popped, revealing my ver impressive, if i do say so myself, cleavage. i feel the urge rising in my throat to rip off arms and watch blood flow, but i shake it away. no use causing trouble for myself.

Baslisk

After devouring the steak at the cafeteria, I decided to go and make small talk with a few of my fellow inmates, I only really knew those who I made contact with on the outside. People eyed me, some in fear, others in humour, but I showed no knowledge of their existence regardless.

As I continued down the corridor, I was disturbed by a feeling of observation, not myself, but someone else. I was being watched. I rotated, gathering the possibilities of the observer; a young man with a deformed face, tapping his thigh to a non-existant rhythm; my old friend Joust, taking a stroll in the opposite direction; an odd man laying upon his bed in his room, sleeping lightly. Or was he? I listened carefully to his breathing, my reptilian senses detecting his vibrations as he exhaled, and his heartbeat as he lived. His heartrate was much to fast for subconscious state, and I concluded that his eyes were those who were watching me. "Hey you" I questioned, my deep, hissing reptile voice scraping the air. "Something interesting?"

Dr. Raithen

I cackled, features cracking behind my respirator.
"Something interesting? My good man, no." I leaned forward to emphasise my next point; "You are interesting, my good man. You and I have so much in common."
"We have nothing in common." The reptile replied. I laughed heartily.
"On the contrary. You and I are alike because we are different. We are not like 'normal' human beings. We are better. Stronger. Smarter." I sat back, smiling behind my mask; "We are both freaks."
The lizard-man frowned, seemingly unsure as to whether or not he should take offence. I pounced on his uncertainty; my window of opportunity was short.
"Come closer, my good freak, and let us talk."

I throw myself to my feet and walk back inside, making my way to my cell. As I pass the lizard guy and Dr. Freakshow, I overhear deep, throaty whispers and dark chuckles. Everyone else gets a bad 'vibe' from these two, but when I look at them, at their eyes, I see they're like me.

Basilisk

This Raithen was certainly an interesting man, I didn't appreciate being called a 'freak', after all, that was why I was here. But the 'doctor' was right, I was different, and I knew that Raithen understood that. A conversation sparked between us, and I had to ask a predictable, yet decisive question before I would associate myself with this man. "Well, why are you in here?" I said, casually.

A cacklish snigger snuck from the doctors mouth, covered by his respirator. I listened eagerly for his answer.

Dr. Raithen

"Well, why are you here?" The Lizard asked. I laughed unashamedly.
"I am here because I so choose to be, my good man. Because I can play inmates and psychologists off against one another, and observe the results. And because I know that, when the time comes, I can give all the right answers to their questions, and walk straight out of this place to apply that which I have learned to other research." I leaned back, casual, yet alert for any change in the Basilisk's behaviour.
"I am here because I choose to be, my good man. Now, tell the doctor why it is you are here."
I stared through my dark goggles at his grotesque form, awaiting a suitable response. Mentally, I ticked the first box in the checklist of a new experiment.

Dreammaster

I watch, from above, as the three other freaks discuss- one a girl with a jumpsuit obviously too small for her, another some sort of lizard-man, the other I couldn't quite make out clearly.
Of all the inmates, I deemed these three the most promising- a conversation would be necessary. They were relatively new to the place, so they couldn't have heard of me, the Phantom Dreammaster, secret controller of all that goes on in Arkham.

Dr. Raithen

Basilisk had just opened his mouth to speak when I held up a hand to silence him. His face contorted with a kind of confused rage before I leaned in conspiratorially and whispered; "We are being watched."
He frowned.
"Lie." I told him. He cocked his head.
"Every shred of knowledge one has about an opponent is a possible advantage. Whoever is watching must want such an advantage over us, or else they would not have taken such care to remain hidden for so long. So do not give them that advantage. Lie."
I leaned back again, feigning laughter, and Basilisk began his lie.

Basilisk

I picked up the base of Raithen's reply, however I zoned out after a few seconds;I knew somebody was watching us, I could feel the heat from their body. Raithen had obviously figured this out too, and quite logically leaned in to tell me to lie. I chuckled. A man of such intelligence as this doctor should have be able to understand sign language; I knew it from when I first became like this, my speech was too slurred for anyone to understand. I signed to him with my hands that I was here because of my attempts to gain equal rights for the 'supernatural' kind, along with many others. I did so below the belt, so no others could see. My mouth however told a different story.

"Well, standard story, murdered my cheating girlfriend and blamed it on my condition. Pretty simple really".

He nodded to show that he understood, releasing a slight chuckle (perhaps in surprise of my improvisation). "Indeed, murder seems to a common happening in todays world".

I waved my head in agreement. "Perhaps we should head out to the courtyard doctor. I heard the weather's supposed to be good" I said, signing to Raithen that nobody could watch us outside. He laughed again, then stood up.

Dreammaster

I chuckled derisively to myself as the three sensed me. They spoke, probably formulating a lie of sorts, unaware of the fact that I couldn't actually hear them. Not yet, anyhow.
I watched as they moved towards the courtyard, apparently not wanting to be overheard. I hunkered down deeper in the shadows above them, preferring to remain unseen for the moment.
One, the reptilian-like freak, stopped just under me. His nostrils flared, and he was about to look up, surely spotting me.
Quickly, I waved a hand, causing a huge explosion to sound out from outside, although it was, of course, an illusion, albeit a very convincing one.
The three hurried out, unaware that I had just twisted the minds of every other inmate in the vicinity, so that when they arrived, they would be in for the fight of their lives.
Temporarily, of course, as even my powers did not stretch that far, but it would certainly generate interesting results.
I chuckled to myself as their figures dwindled in the distance

Dr. Raithen

I followed Basilisk as he hurried outside, following the sound of the explosion. Something was remiss, I was sure, so I made certain he was a good few paces ahead of me. It would be a shame to waste such a brilliant mind as my own.
Outside, inmates of all mental dispositions milled around, uncertain of what had just occurred. I scanned the crowd, searching for the fatal flaw in an otherwise brilliant deception- as by now I was certain it was.
Ahead, a group of brutish cons began to encircle Basilisk. I slipped away- he was more than capable at handling himself, and for the time being, I needed to remain focussed.
It took a moment, but I saw what I wanted to see- a guard. And that was where the deception would collapse. I quickly made my way to him.
"What happened?" I asked, taking measures to ensure I spoke with the correct level of panicked confusion in my voice.
"Not sure. Now, just go back to your cell and-"
"What do you mean, not sure?" I cut in, "Didn't you see anything?"
"No, I didn't. Now please, go back-"
It was all I needed. The fatal mistake had been made- the guard had not seen anything, yet an explosion that loud would have been an impressive sight.
I walked away. The man began to shout after me, but gave up as the crowd swallowed me. Ahead, a cry went up as Basilisk brutally fought back his assailants, but for now, my objective lay with the suspicious shadow which had followed me from my cell.
