This RP takes place in the world of Remnant, from the animated show RWBY, whereas children are trained to become Hunters/Huntresses in simple terms, and fight the enemies that are known as the Creatures of Grimm. People can wield Dust to power weapons, use their Semblance as a source of power, along with their own Aura, which is the representation of someone’s soul. More information can be found here, with links explaining Aura, Semblance, Dust, and more.

The specific setting is Beacon Academy, where these students learn how to fight and form bonds among their fellow classmates, by being placed in a group of four with a designated leader. An example of this is RWBY, with Ruby Rose as the leader, with Weiss, Blake, and Yang, as the title characters of the show.

In fact, group names start with the first letter of the leader, with the rest of the names arranged to mimic a word or an idea. Some examples besides RWBY = Ruby are: 1) SSSN = Seasons, and 2) JNPR = Juniper.

A lot of the characters’ names from pop culture references — (see Jaune Arc similar to Joan of Arc), while others are based off fairy tale references, or simply colors. The genders of characters don’t matter, as all four members of the group live in the same dormitory area, regardless if there is a mixture of sexes.

Today is your first day at Beacon Academy, and you just arrived. After a speech from the headmaster, your very first task is given to you — travel through a forest to reach a display of chess pieces set in a distant temple, then return to the original landing spot. The first person you come across after being catapulted (literally) into the trees becomes your partner, and thus two of these partnerships will be paired together at a later time.

Rules:

1. There is a maximum of two characters per person, because I don’t want a whole group of characters to be controlled by the same user. <.<

2. This will definitely veer away from the canon show, I just really like the beginning to introduce characters and start grouping people up.

3. The more creative weapons and powers the better, but please don’t make everyone ridiculously overpowered, otherwise we’re going to be fighting extremely difficult enemies to make things more interesting.

4. Also, I hope you have fun.

Spoiler! :
Cobalt Crillea: She has dark blue colored hair, light brown eyes, and dresses in a simple fashion. Her clothes consist of a gray shirt and pants, along with a utility belt holding her two trusty knives, Sky and Night. The former is a simple white color, while the other is a simple black color. Her Semblance Flora grants her a limited time to borrow energy from nearby plants. Cobalt hasn’t quite determined her Aura, but it appears as a light blue color.

She is far more skilled at hand-to-hand combat than distance, but she is trying to improve on using different kinds of weapons other than her knives. Likening herself to a casual observer, she joined the academy from her parents’ encouragement to make friends and learn more about the world. Cobalt has difficulty really speaking up to people, so she tends to go along with what others may recommend.

Getting sent into a forest per a catapult was surprising. Getting lost, not so surprising, since she wasn’t ever great at directions.

The sight of yet another tree made Cobalt groan. It felt she had been walking four hours, although she knew it was a slight exaggeration. For her sake, she was trying not to melt under the building pressure to find her way to the temple and the apparent chess pieces. Curses, she hadn’t even seen anyone else yet, so she hasn’t been able to get help from anyone else either.

A low growl caught her attention, coming from a nearby group of bushes that rustled slightly. She looked up to see two sets of dark, red eyes glaring back at her. Oh, that did not look good. Cobalt turned around the moment she heard further shaking of leaves, not wanting to see the beasts running after her.

When she tripped over an exposed tree root, she made the mistake of looking behind her. Two misshapen masses chased after her, not caring about the various trees in their way. Cobalt pulled out Sky, bracing her right hand on a trunk before drawing out a bit of power to push her straight at the Grimm forces.

She let out a yell as she flew towards them, wielding her knife through the black sides of the first being. Cobalt ducked under a set of claws, then stuck Sky into one of its red eyes, stepping out from a dark cloud emerging from a wound. She struck the monster once more before approaching the second one, but it had disappeared during her battle.

Strange, but it was about as strange as everything that had happened so far. Cobalt sheathed Sky back into her side, then continued walking. She had to find that temple sometime, right? Right.

I wouldn't think "impossible" was even in your vocabulary.
