When Thymea noticed Lasan watching her, she turned her gaze to God. He was starting to realize that he really had become the leader of the group - not because he was God, but because he was the only one who had an idea of what someone was supposed to do in a situation like this.

He nodded.

"It shouldn't take long," God said. "I have a knack for annoying people - the Council loves to complain about me. If I can get a group of immortals to want to kill me, I'm sure I can do the same with a handful of partials."

The lizard had his doubts - God had been a friendly and outgoing person so far, rather than annoying. But, God was also very knowledgeable about this whole dead people business, so Lasan trusted his judgment.

"Alright," he said. "You guys better get going."

Inferno, Canto 27, l 61-66.
