There's a little movement outside and a hiss, like a weapon being sheathed. Footsteps.
"She's gone," comes Auryon's ragged voice through the door.

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
Oops, I thought earlier it said this one did, but I see I am incorrect. Editing now
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
"For the moment," she says, followed up by coughing. Damn Apophis...
I will destroy you! the serpent writhes within, screaming to be let out. Auryon's shaking behind the door, near collapse, fighting the creature. When Apophis finally gets power again...she shudders at the thought of what will happen to her.
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
"You want to tell us what that was about?" He asked Auryon, though he sent his gaze to Leo, warily pointing with his eyes to the lotus on the door a few times.
She turns, leaning her back against the door so she can stand properly. "Apophis. Demon. I'm possessed."
Let me out, vessel, and maybe I'll be merciful, it growls.
"You won't be," she murmurs under her breath. "Shut up."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
Both Adamina and Edwin stilled at the pounding. Adamina, still holding the book, joined Edwin where he stood, glancing at a wall with both their symbols, where the noise had seemed to come from. She barely noticed that Edwin took her hand and squeezed it briefly; she was analyzing the wall, which bore no resemblance to a door.
She motioned Edwin forward, and almost unconsciously, they reached out and touched the wall together. The wall turned open. A hidden door, leading to a room with weapons lining the walls and with Peter, Leo, Raiden, and a woman they didn't recognize.
"Why hello," said Edwin. Adamina made sure they didn't close the wall door.

Raiden let out a huff, as he dropped the knives to his sides as it seemed that Auryon was now in control. As Adamina and Edwin walked in through the wall, he turned towards them. "Ah, uhm, hello again,"
I'm cool as a cucumber Even if I'm in a pickle
Two possibilities exist: Either we are alone in the universe, or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.
James kept his eyes on the door, where the danger was (though he kept an alert eye on Mina and her friend in the back of his mind). Laurel flipped around to the newcomers, axe still in hand. Apparently, there were more people in this place who, after a quick glance to confirm, also had markings on their hands.
I'm here! Sorry for making you wait. I was checking the thread at school but I didn't have a chance to reply.
Maahes studied the door. He was surprised to realize that he didn't know the name of the girl that Peter was with, but that was alright. He could worry about that later. For now, he had to decide what to do about Auryon. The lotus meant that only he could make the choice. There was the option to escape the way that Mina and Edwin, but Auryon would be left alone.
"Auryon?" he softly questioned, not wishing to disrupt the other conversation. "How do you keep Apophis in check?"
"I am Ad--Mina," said Adamina, somewhat taken off guard by the fact that Auryon was on the other side of the door and definitely possessed. She glanced at the other's hand, noticing the rose there.
"I'm Edwin." Edwin smiled kindly.
"And you are?" asked Adamina, glancing at her warily.

"Raphael," she replies, trying to steady herself. "Simply put...with help."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
"Is there anything we can do to help?" he asked, rephrasing his question. Whoever Raphael was certainly a good start, but Raphael wasn't there. It was just them. Unless he was certain that they had some way to protect themselves, he knew he couldn't open the door.
