"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
Kellach laughed. "That's good, I never liked them much anyways."

"The sea, to put it simply." Kellach pulled himself onto the beach and sat in the sand, letting water drip off his clothes. Even in the sunlight, he felt freezing, and wrapped his arms around himself.

He pulled off a boot and dumped the water onto the ground. "That's not very helpful, is it? I was born by the coast, lived there for a bit. I'd like to go back to it someday." Kellach then slowly pulled out his panpipes from a shirt pocket and shook it, letting some water spill out of it. He played a few notes, unsteadily, but it sounded fine enough.

"Nope - I know how to row and how to swim, but sailing's beyond me." Kellach dumped the other boot and wriggled his toes in the sand.

He set his pipes on the sand. Yanking off his coat, Kellach laid it out in front of him. "I don't have much else to do," he admitted.

"We can always use more hands on the deck," she tells him. "'n a swimmer like you is a good thing to have on a boat."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
"Sounds good to me," replied Kellach, placing his hands behind his head and falling back on the sand.

Kixig swam swiftly back to shore, hopping back onto the sandy beach with ease. His clothes were wet, but it didn't seem to bother him much. He wasn't wearing shoes or anything - he didn't have much need for them, with his rough, scaly skin. He silently observed as the captain and Kellach discussed things.
"Good, 'cause you have a lot of passenger time to work off," she smirks. "I ain't mindin' ya hitchin' a ride but I ain't like gettin' our time 'n hard work stolen." With that, she stands and starts back towards the Leviathan.
