He finds his way back to the main group, sauntering through the door with his hand in his pocket - next to his dagger.
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
James simply digested the information with a blank expression, clearing his throat after a moment of silence and looking back at Hades and Perse behind him.
So... now there were three people they had to worry about? Two of which, at least, were very likely more powerful than he could ever compete with. "What are the odds." He mumbled, as Cornyx entered the room. Already, it felt a bit awkward, though James did not react as such. "Any leads?" James asked Cornyx.
"I saw it and tried to follow. However, it lost me."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
Something's off. He can almost smell the lies in the air, but he's Guile, not a Seer. They're trying to deceive him, but how much do they really know?
The mirror....the Woman...
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."

Hades watched the exchange between Cornyx and the rest of the group with confusion, catching Sarah's eye as he did so. She mouthed something to him from the other side of the room, but he had always been terrible at reading lips.
He had heard Jeanine whisper something to James, but hadn't been able to make out the actual words that had been spoken. What was going on, and why was there so much secrecy involved?
"So what's the plan now-" he started to ask, but fell quiet as Cerberus jumped out of Perse's arms and growled at Cornyx. Both he and his husband stared at the dog. What had upset them?
His black eyes fall to the three-headed canine, unperturbed and slightly annoyed. "Why don't we cut the act, hm?" he purrs, leaning idly against the doorway.
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
Sorry - I thought she had from a previous post. ^^" I guess I referenced something too far back. He didn't hear her explain it to James when their group first walked in.
"Cerberus, stop it," Perse said to the dog. In response, they fell silent and the three heads turned to look back at him. There was a fearful expression on each of the faces.
Hades took a step forward. "I don't know what you're talking about," Hades slowly said, though he was getting a very good idea about what Cornyx meant.
A vine began to snake down Perse's arm, barely peeking out of his sleeve. He seemed to have come to the same conclusion his husband - Cornyx had traitored.
Jeanine gulped. She handed a mirror to everyone, even Cornyx.
"So, are you sure you didn't find anything? The Woman has a pretty good idea of their location," she tried.
She attempted to send a telepathic message to Hades. Make sure you don't reveal what we know. If he attacks, I'll have my ghosts restrain him and you can use your godly powers, etc. Tell this to everyone else if possible. Jeanine assumed that since he was a god, he would be able to hear her. She shot a look at him as well.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about, Hades," he answers. "Don't try to deceive deception itself."
