Hey guys,

I'd just like to ask if it's ok to quote my work (possibly with a link) in my signature, or whether that's considered as some kind of desperation attention-seeking.
I'm not trying to beg people to read it, I just want to quote it, and then give people a place to go if they want to see where the quote comes from.

Thought I'd better just check.

Thanks guys,

Made soft with all her razor blades,
That kissed her wrists with the romance you lacked.
As the hands that you’d kissed now dealt the trades

I've seen it done quite a few times.

There are no rules against doing that, and I personally see it as a mini-teaser to advertise your work.

Feel free. :)

Though some people around here I know find it as bad, but I don't see anything wrong with it. If people like the quote they will be more likely to read the whole work. It will get you a lot more reviews too.
