I was just wondering, what is the optimum size of a story or chapter for someone to review. Too little and it doesn't like a big enough impression, or set enough tone for the piece of writing but too much and the reader gets to overwhelmed and can only give an overall impression of the piece instead of an in-depth review.

What do you guys think?

There isn't a really set amount, but generally, the shorter it is, the more reviews that you'll get on it. I try to keep my posts under 2000 words. 1000-2000 words is a good rule of thumb (unless your story is a flash/vignette) because you don't want it to be too short. You probably don't want to go over 3-5k words per post. It's not like you'll get in trouble if you do, but you probably wont get as many reviews. If the story or chapter is too long, you can always split it up into parts.

Does this answer your question? :)
