Hey! Moved this to Questions and Answers for you, seeing as the Knowledge Base is more for articles.

In short: you delete the text and replace it with "removed". Since people often review the work, we like to preserve their commentary and effort by not full out deleting the topic.

However, one you remove the text, it is not cached and is completely gone from the site.
