BEFORE YOU MAKE FUN OF ME. *cough*

A friend of mine suggested I make a comic out of my random Craig Ferguson sketches, and this is the first one! =D

I'm learning a thing or two about making comics, so consider this one a bit of a pilot strip. Not to mention that I'm hoping by doing this my drawing will improve over time.

Hopefully the jokes will be funny even if you don't watch the show, but they'll be a lot easier to get if you do. ^_^

Done in my PreCalc class and finished in English/library. The last expression is boss.

EDIT: You can read it better if you click on it for the full size. And advance apologies for my shoddy handwriting! Next time I'll do all lettering on the computer.

Haha. Wait...no...I really don't get it. Lol just kidding. But really, it is a little too show oriented I think because...well I don't watch it ;)

Try showing the "cheap" and "sleazy" part of the comic more in the drawing I think. Simply saying it won't do it, there has to be some kind of backing.

Good luck and happy practicing!

Hehe, these are cool, Saint! His expression in the third vignette ROCKS my SOCKS! Seriously.

I agree with Via that you should express the 'cheap, sleazy' aspect in the actual drawing, not just in the dialogue. Like, you could put a vignette in between the first and second (the 1 and 1/2th?) showing him standing beside a scene from it, or show people filing the actors doing ridiculously cliched scenes and whatnot. XD

But overall, I really like these. 8) They're very cute!

Keep drawing,

Uhh...not really getting it but you're drawing was good? :D

Oh, and Wolf has a very good idea with the little vignette part...I wonder if I'd get it then...

Haha, I guess you do have to watch the show to totally get it. xD

He does things like this from time to time. This one was inspired by him talking about the latest Madonna film. I figure if I ever get around to drawing another one of these, I'll just make it more his monologue than anything... because his monologues are great.

Anyway, thank you for any and all comments! ^_^

haha...funny. Previous Crits have a point though, kinda show-oriented. It's a bit hard to get it without watching the show, but still understandable.

The drawing is pretty good, but I couldn't read the words. They were a bit too small.

Yeah, agreeing with the masses that is must be show-oriented. I think I get it, but I'm not sure.

In any case, I admire your humor. He's got some great expressions. It does look like him! (It's all in the hair... and I had to Google him to say that...) And yes, just keep drawing and I promise that you will improve. It is a bit like writing.
