wow....that's really really good for a fourteen year old. I mean...most people don't paint like that until they're adults. That is truly amazing work.

That is so great, Kim!

Very good indeed, the colours make the kitten *squeals and huggles it* look so real.

And on a wooden lid too...you are good.

That's brilliantly done, Kim!! You should try and do something more with these.

This is beautiful. I think you should have left a bit more space between the head and the edge but it's lovely. I wish the lighting was better so I could see more of the detail. Seriously, this is one of the best pieces of art work I've seen by a person of your age.

O_O

*short circuits*

The cuteness! *smothers*

I'm a total sucker for lions... and lion cubs. They're adorable. But this is some seriously awesome work. I love the detail, it's very intricate.

Very impressive! What was the lid to?

The detail that is visible is very good, indeed. Did you make the design or look off something else?

Wow! Very nice! It looks a lot like a photograph. You're very good at drawing realistic detail.

My suggestion would be use brighter colors. It would make the whole thing stand out if the background were really dark black, and there was more orange in the animal's coat.

Also, the tail looks kind of stumpy, like it was supposed to be longer but you ran out of room. If you made it just go off the plate, I think that would look fine.

Apart from that, this is gorgeous! Thanks for posting.

Very well done! It looks very fluffy and cute. The colours look a little dull, btu that may have been because of the lighting? Regardless, I'm very impressed.

This is very, very nice. You really get in all the details and everything.

Do you paint wildlife in particular? If you do you may be interested in this:

Not a great site, but hey, it's the paintings that count. You see, the artist is my Uncle (Mum's brother). He specialises in Wildlife and has done many covers for Derwent Drawing pencils and Chroma Colour, that's why many people see his art on a regular basis. If you ever have any questions about wildlife painting I'll be happy to ask him for you!

Again, your piece is lovely!

I paint wildlife too. This painting is awesome, I love the detail you put in it. WOW, I wish I could paint like you do.

The lighting does take away from the photo, but the painting itself is wonderful.

Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.
— Brené Brown
