I got bored while procrastinating on my homework and thinking about symbolism, so I drew this.

Image

Please keep in mind, I have NO talent when it comes to drawing. I'm only good at art when it comes to words, everything else I am horrible at.

It's a rough sketch, you could say. I'm thinking of working it over with Paint Shop Pro and CGing in, in hopes of making it cooler. But... for now, it just looks like a flat, weird apple.

Thoughts?

Only you, my dear Till, would draw an SS Oberführer Apple.

Actually, I think it has potential. As you say, it is just a rough sketch after all. You've got the rudiments of really lovely shading, but the apple's dimensions seem off a bit. Apples are never perfectly round, but to be honest, it looks rather like an SS Orange. XD Keep in mind the shape of the base of most apples.

[Hey, maybe you could work this into a story. Armin starts hallucinating insignias on apples.]

A Nazi apple?

Interesting concept. Any real point? Lol.

I have no artistic talent either. Don't worry about it. And that's also why this isn't exactly a helpful critique. I just thought an SS apple would be something to see. Although I honestly thought it was a ship before I saw it... xD [/dorky pirate]

I used an actual apple as my model, and it was rather circular Oo

Hey, maybe you could work this into a story.

Well.... I drew the apple because it is in the story. The apple is a universal symbol for temptation. (If you go to my LJ you'll see a ramble and temptation and Hedwig. XD)

Perhaps I can actually draw a better apple using this as a model. *feels motivation* Plus my SS symbol was a little strange. I can't draw straight lines...

It's definitely cute, for a rough sketch anyway. Definitely has potential, as previously mentioned. Don't you love what comes out of ridiculous boredom? XD

I like it! Admittedly, the shape needs some work but your shading is nice and it's a good, rough sketch. Maybe you could have a whole bowl of SS fruit!

Looks like a stone at first. I find apples pretty hard, drawing the basic shape is easy but when you add shading and the colour its tough.

The only advice at the moment is to make the two letters look engraved.

Very nice Clau. I always new apples were evil. It is a little rough, but shading and overall shape is very good.
