That is an incredible inktober collection if I've ever seen one! Wow, these ideas are all so clever and well executed. I can spot a repeating blemish in the paper texture so I assume they're digital?

Oh, I didn't expect any attention on this. Since nobody commented back when inktober was going.

Yes I took a picture of some canvas I was aging for a actual ink project, and used that as a background. Because of limitations on time and materials, also I am mostly a digital artist.

Well since people are actually interested in my results, here are the rest.

Day 16- Angular

Day 17- Swollen

Day 18- Bottle

Day 19- Scorched

I remembered that you were a digital artist! Which prompted me to look more closely at the paper - as well as the fact that some of the geometry was so perfect. You've clearly mastered the art form! This is a very impressive collection. The second half particularly revealed some different styles!

I really like #15. This is a small detail, but I appreciate how the background lines don't go through the hole in the mug handle. It shows that you probably were working on just one layer, giving it a similar challenge that traditionally inking would. Are all of these on one layer each?

Thank you very much, though I wouldn't say I was all that great on the geometry of anything, I messed up in all sorts of way on the angular drawing for example.

One layer for the background so that I could reuse it, and one for the line art, yes, I limited myself, I also didn't use the coveted ctrl+z command. This was done so that I could avoid over complicating things on myself, to hold off burnout for longer. Also so that I could train myself to be more confident in my line work.

Haha, I had to disable the hotkey because I have a habit of using it all the time.

I disagree quite strongly when I hear people claim digital art is easier, but I can't deny the advantages of the magic undo button.

seriously these are so gorgeous,,I hope to be this talented one day
I can only do traditional due to my circumstances, but I have immense respect for digital artists. Y'all have wayyyy more options when it comes to media!! plus undo buttons..wish that existed irl lmao
