Hey my dudes here's some fun visuals and explorations from the past year-ish

Background: I had another forum for art things but it's pretty dated and I've improved a lot from then, so I just decided to make another one to dump everything into, starting from last year's AP art class and continuing from that. Right now I am in my first year of college as a double major in Graphic Art: Illustration and English: Creative Writing with hopes of becoming a graphic novelist and/or animator! As I continue, I hope that I can start delving into more of the visual storytelling that I love.

I also love getting any feedback, although some of this is older so I won't do anything to edit them anymore. :P Enjoy!

And now, some highlights from my first semester at college. I took Drawing 1 and 2D Design. They were both very basic and not always exciting, but towards the end, I began to love them! I don't have pictures of much of what I did, actually, because I was so busy and then I immediately stored it all when I came home, but here is what I have:

Image
Crosshatching practice

Image
I only used my thumb for this portrait. It was challenging but really fun.

Image
We had some student models for a couple weeks, I loved that.

Image Some pencil sketches for possible future projects.

Image
Perspective and color practice (it ended up being really saturated, whoops) all done with cut Coloraid paper

Image
Coloraid paper cut, this project was based on Revelation 4:6 "Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back."

Final 2D project!
I loved this project. It was a series of 3 of any theme, and I chose to do mine on landscape ideas for my graphic novel in progress!

All 3 together: Image

Misc Sketchbook Drawings:

Halloween drawing!

Characters from my graphic novel idea! Still figuring it out. :)

This is all I have for now but I'm really looking forward to next semester! I'm taking a few Digital Tools classes (so hopefully I can learn how to draw digitally... that last one is as good as I get, which isn't great), a class called Visual Communications, and Creative Writing! My professors have been really supportive of my dream to make graphic novels/ animations, so I'm hoping that soon, my projects can reflect that!

It will also be a while until I update again. Thanks for viewing! Feedback is so appreciated. <3

: O

I'm speechless! These are stunning!!! What a pleasure to glimpse at your talent.

I love them all but my favorites are: the cardboard guy looking at the yellow crack in the wall, all the angst, the crosshatching, the Revelations paper cut, the landscape trio, and the last non-spoilered one! The way you shade faces is gorgeous. And I love how you've challenged yourself in interesting ways! The cardboard, the paper cuts, the thumb thing - how???

Can't wait to see more down the line : D

Ahhh thank you so so much, @Wolfical! :D I'm so glad you like them. These two classes were the first time I was required to make art for a grade (instead of just when I had free time) so it was challenging and incredibly fun! I have loved exploring all the different mediums.

Thanks again!! <3

Wow, these are so good! A couple years ago, I never did art, but when I took an art class, I finally started realizing that I enjoy it. Never going to be that good at it, but I finally appreciate it. xD

The crosshatching one is so cool! And the student model ones are fantastic

Did a thing while at my grandparents' last night. His skin is a little more purple/blue than the picture shows.

^ Yeah, I can't see any of them either :(
Also did you know that number 6 plastic is used in a lot of things and can be used for shrinky dinks? My mom and I sometimes make our own just out of like, plastic cups and stuff :D
Instead, he said, Brother! I know your hunger.
To this, the Wolf answered, Lo!
