I've been reading a whole lot lately. New World Rising by Jennifer Wilson blew me away. I thought I was done with dystopia, but then this one brought something new to the table I hadn't expected! And the opening pages are sketches and maps to further bring the world to life. It caught me immediately.

Annabeth Neverending is an ancient egyptian paranormal novel. There's a massive love triangle, but that aside it was a decent story.

Books I hope to read in February <3 I didn't quite get to Emma OR Wonder last month because life distracted me. I am halfway through Emma though, so I hope to finish it. The others are Shylock is my Name by Howard Jacobson, Winter by Marissa Meyer (because it's SO about time), Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens (because I haven't read any of his books yet), The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh and Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper which will be a reread.

The painting in the background is a work from my older sister even though she claims she has no artistic talent <3

Arrows is a sweet romance kind of read, involving cupids. I wanted things to be more fleshed out on the Greek mythology side of things, but the contemporary was on point. <3

The physical books I read this month! Marked was okay. I loved Wonder and would recommend it to everyone. The Boy with the Top Knot was required reading which turned out to be seriously interesting about culture and schizophrenia (it's a memoir.) And Shadow and Bone was so cool. The Darkling was a brilliant villain.

Does my March TBR look the same as February's? Well, maybe because it is practically the same. I got distracted by too many shiny books last month. And how is it that I am still reading Emma? DD: I like it! It's just taking me so... long...

Ahhh! Leigh Bardugo is the BEST. I got through the Grisha Trilogy in less than one week. Have you read Six of Crows?
