Day 60
Title: With Just One Candle
Theme: Candles
Matching Poem:

These days
we throw our hearts in the air
and watch them crumble
chipped at the edges
by the blazing sunlight.
So we twist and die
in the center spotlight:
just one candle
against all the odds.

Day 61
Title: Black and Blue
Theme: Pavement
Matching Poem:
I only see the world in two shades –
those of black and blue.
And how I love the vibrant colours
of the sparkling never-ending sea.

And loathe those of the darkened night.
Where evil things that creep closer
behind the lids of my sealed eyes.
They scare me and torment me,
at every hour, every chance.

But what I did not know and
could not see was the future;
the end of me.

How those beloved waves of mine
would swallow me whole.
The blueness smothering the light
out of my life.

And the blackness tried to save me
but when it could not, it too
consumed me and carried me with gentleness
to the death-place beyond.

The moral of such a tale is as followers:
what you believe to be opposite from the other
is likely in harmony with it.
Because two is better than one
at plotting the greatest downfall.

What I like the most about these images, is that they are simple and got clarity. I don't think you should stop after 365 days. ^.^

Life is an interlocking grid:
ideas, promises, hopes
they cross over one another
to create a paradox, a dimension
that shouldn't exist.

And yet, you're mine.

Cards have rules
Cards have money
but even they bend
to a humans wants.

trembles along my skin

Now this is just a quick interval to say that I love you guys <3
Honestly, the support I have gotten for this has been amazing - more than I expected - and it has really kept me going with this.

I have also been working hard to catch up with the poetry that matches. I am on day 30-something with that, but I am writing about a poem every two days, so they are sneakily appearing there.

I'm not sure what I am gonna do with my collection of photos-from-me-who-knows-nothing-about-photography, but I will do something with these poems. Though not sure what yet xD

Title: Dreary Prisons
Theme: Cloudy Skies
Matching Poem:

Happiness is a fleeting thing.
Swift.

Only those with open minds
reaching into the interchangibility
of pessimism and optimism
can hook onto it with vicious claws
and a smile on their face.

Only those have the key
to the game of this dense jungle
darting between the thick trees
and escaping through these prison bars.

Swift.
