you're here. you're not getting back out again.
you have to leave an offering before you do.

a line or two or twenty or two hundred,
but before you go you need to write a poem.

yes, now.

yes, RIGHT NOW!

don't you back-sass me with your trivial "why's", just write the poem!
you can message me with anything: questions, review requests, rants
are you a green room knight yet?
have you read this week's Squills?

Common karma keeps me quiet,
seeing the sibilance slither
across aching arches of line.
Though I thought those animals
- Barbarian, belie bloated bellies!
would whisper soft, wondering,
how humanity heaped hubris
upon ungainly love.
I like you as an enemy, but I love you as a friend.

I wandered
around my room
until I had stubbed my toe on every corner,
and still
I did not feel at home.

I tipped the bed
upon its side
to feel like a vagrant,
but felt no relief when it came down to a place to sleep.

I guess when they told me to buy paintings
they were not on commission,
but had lived in a one-room when they were twenty-three, too.
They knew
that if I didn't hang something on the walls,
I would use the nearest thing:
my own available skin.
you can message me with anything: questions, review requests, rants
are you a green room knight yet?
have you read this week's Squills?

he is rising in the air,
pouring water as he goes
with the vase tucked sly under his arm,
one hand in the mouth,
beckoning.

are you a green room knight yet?
have you read this week's Squills?

I curl for sleep, the studied cat
napping light upon the bed
sheets drawn below.
I like you as an enemy, but I love you as a friend.

I want to leave this thread, I do,
So eat this couplet I brewed for you.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

I write this poem in my bed
In my comfy sheets
Tiny people in my head
dancing to the beats

"Tell me master, how does this look"
Terrible! Write it all once more!
"How about i write a book?"
Ha! please don't make me snore!
There is no good and evil, there's just perspective

I multitask and procrastinate.
See how this habit sends me astray?
I've talked this over with myself:
"Doing various things at the same time leads you nowhere."
I should focus; I should start and end,
but I'd rather write these lines instead. ={|

"Life is so short."
Says the guy who lives on edge.
In reality, life is the longest thing any of us will endure.
Life is unique, like a fingerprint
No matter how alike you are to another person,
Your life is different than theirs.
Keep that in mind while you, the dangerous guy,
Do stupid things because life is "short"
That your life is yours.
Only you can change it.

Well, I was going to take the time of days to come up with something nice,
But that time was cut short when Geelyria hid this trap in a nice disguise.
With no way out, I wrote down the lamest words the world had ever seen,
I was planning on revenge but had to behave because she turned green.

but why should not I
back-sass the most sassable?
for the command, dear it was,
had gone far off from my mind's reach

and thus I ask
why?
pray tell behind the reason behind the reason
behind the reason behind
that I should not ask again?
Need some feed? Then read some! Take a look at today's Squills at In the News.

Click, Click, Clack

Phalanges tick and tock
over malnourished keys;
I have become awake again
in the midst of my mother
and her typewriter.
I like you as an enemy, but I love you as a friend.

I made the mistake
made so many times before
of returning - again again -
to this house, your home,
my quiet sanctuary.

Left there to devices unknown
- yours or mine it hardly counts -
we wait and curl slowly in the breeze,
ferns rolling into themselves.

Waiting for the light to begin
I know
leaving is just
too hard.
I like you as an enemy, but I love you as a friend.
