You know... I just can't stop thinking about that colored kid Red killed. Back in the bank? I mean... I reckon I understand why he did, he told him not to move, but he was so damn small, you know? He must've been, what? Twelve years old? Twelve years old and a life wasted. Just because he wanted to play the hero. And Red just did it, y'know? My brother, he just did 'im in, like it was no big thing. Sometimes I feel like we're selfish, that's all. That we're wrecking people's lives and that everybody's just accepting that, like it's no big thing, right? But... I just can't do that anymore. I mean... Foster, and my brother they don't think much of it, but putting a bullet into someone's chest it's... You just don't walk away from something like that, you know? It's something. I tell ya boy, it's really something.

-- Jonah Peckinpah, brother to Red Peckinpah of the Peckinpah Gang.

"Absolutely. Joy is something that you carry with you always, even when you're not exactly happy. Happiness or sort of temporary...the feeling you get petting a puppy or something." ~Kylee

Dax: *points upward* "What she said, I think."

Marc: "Deep question...brain disintegrating..."

Jake: "Happiness isn't as strong. Joy is the emotion you feel when you know without a doubt who you are and why you are here."

*everyone stares in disbelief at hearing Jake say so much in one sentence*
