It's a metephor activity.

Ok, please excuse my lack of literary vocabulary but:

Make a list of a bunch of regular words, like ocean, shelter, tree etc.
Then make a list of uh, adjectives/adverbs I think? Like, realization, appreciation, vibrance, innocence etc.

Then you add "a___ of____" and fill in the blank with a word from each list. You'ld be suprised how many powerful images you get. Ex:

A shelter of innocence
An ocean of vibrance

Then you can go back and put a sentence or two around them. If you particularly like one or two, put more sentences around it, and form a story around the metephor.

It helped my case of writers block recently, and it just sort of gets you thinking.
