You know you're a writer when ideas relentlessly crowd your head, even if you told yourself that you'd give yourself a break and wouldn't write at all for the day.

You also know you're a writer when you, or someone you know, says something and it automatically triggers a story idea in your mind. I have so many typed out in my phone's memos. That's literally all there is in there.
For the love of creativity!

You know you're a writer when you have answers to moments you've tried to figure out for forever on the toilet or in the shower...

@SkyeWalker that is the truest thing I've heard all day.

You know you're a writer when stay up for hours at night, staring at the computer screen, thinking about what to type, but only getting one sentence down.

You know you're a writer when...

You cry for your dead characters.

You wish your characters were real so they could be your friends.

Your parents make fun of you for using an advanced vocabulary.

You listen to Matia Puumala when you write battle scenes.

You narrate everything you're doing when you're bored.

You panic whenever you find a typo in your comment.
"When in doubt, improvise!"

Cupcakes, that is THE TRUTH. PURE TRUTH.

You know you're a writer when you lay in bed at night re-enacting/re-imagining your stories. Till midnight.

You know you're a writer when your characters are your babies, and when they have babies of their own, that makes you a proud grandmama by writer's (or your own) logic.

@SkyeWalker Story of my life. Thought it was just me, but strangely the bathroom is the best place for inspiration.

You know you're a writer when...

You forget to save the story you have been working on and cry all night because you lost it.

Your dad finds you at 2am writing. (and just stares at you...)

You bring a notebook with you and write everything down.

You try to do your romantic scene, but you're doing it alone in your room, and you look insane.

You want to kill people that say "reading is so dumb!" or "I hate writing, it's not worth it!" THEY ARE WRONG!!!

You know you're a writer when you tell your little sister your story, and you're secretly proud she told it to her friends, even if she tweaked it a little beforehand.

Spoiler! :
My sister's version was funny and cute because she tried to make it more of a ghost story XD

You know you're a writer when you try to figure out how you would describe the brown stain on the pavement.

You know your a writer when...

You feel like your characters are with you and you start imagining how they would interact together and the whole idea just evolves into something new
This is a rather clever sentence that got you to read it all.
