Does anyone else here draw their characters? I love it because it helps me "see" who I am hearing in my head.

I would like to.

That is, if I was physically able to draw.

Neat idea. I read somewhere that Terry Brooks does that.

If I ever feel the urge to do that, I'll do it. Actually, I might want to give it a shot. It's definitely not essential, but I suppose it could be minimually useful, or at least creative and entertaining.

I haven't done it, but I'll give it a shot. When I'm done, I'll scan it and show it to you. I might even post it on my Deviant Art account-which I have never used!

Another deviant! yay! lol

For me art is amazingly helpful, just being able to see who I'm writing about helps me understand them better.

Oh definitely. I'm into art as well as writing, so I ended up being in the process of making a manga.:)

Hm no i have not drawn anything since year 8 when i got a D for my art heh.

I just google until i find a guy/girl interesting enough to feature in my story. or i collect a bunch of pics of girls in fancy dresses and guys in boardies with surfboards and think until i can make a story out of them.
Writing gives my life purpose

I do draw my characters out... a lot. I find it is easier to create it in my head and draw it on paper, so I get all the ideas straight, then I can write it out a lot easier. I might have a drawing I can put up here... It is quite large. And that is fairly sketchy. I was just trying to get her out line done.
It is not one of my best drawings and a horrible scanning job but that is one of my characters.
Her name is Sheeda and she is actualy apart of the novel I am writing.

Nice drawing, Icognito!

When I write, I usually play the scenes out like a movie in my head, it also happens when I read, then usually I end up drawing them, though I sadly do not have the flair for drawing.

I fully intend to have a sketch up soon of a very powerful and strong character from an upcoming short story I am wrapping up.
