Er... is this supposed to be a story or a storybook?

Well, okay, so I have several questions (for instance...being the last person on earth doesn't exclude a noise from being made, does it?), but mostly:

If you're the last person on earth, why do you need a door, anyway?

If YOU are the last person on earth and someone knocks on your door - then the person behind it would be the reaper. That is just my opinion and the image that appears after reading your single line.

Or like, if you are the last person on earth why are you in your house? What's the point? Not like you can watch tv, or play on the internet, or listen to the radio...explore or something.

But yea...whether this is a storybook or a story, it really doesn't go here.

Since I can't 'line by line' this, I'll 'word by word' it!
A few points:

YOU

All capitals for a reason?

earth

It may just be me but usually it has a capital 'E': Earth.

suddenly

Ewww. 'Suddenly' is for writers that cannot master suspense with better words. If this is only a 'one sentence thriller' I guess it has to be acceptable but if you ever wanted to pad it out you should use long sentences then shorter ones to make impact. Bang. Impact.

...

This implies something is left unsaid. If it's unsaid, we'll never know what it is, so say it!

And to conclude:
For a single sentence it is vaguely decent. Short, obviously, but with a bit of padding out you could make something of this. Certainly a lot of unanswered questions here.

Um....oh! So scary. Not. If you wanted to, you could try to take the advice from the critics out there and post a re-write.
That would be cool.

I think I'm gonna move this to Writing Activities. What's the activity? Well, people can attempt to write one-sentence thrillers, or imagine what follows.
