(You may post more than once but only after two participants have gone after you.)

Twilight sun on a midwinter day
makes everything so bleak and gray
then you come and are there to stay-
"i dont slay i slaughter, luke i am your father..." ~fatherfig

Let this rendezvous be a secret
for none should ever discover
about this sapling of love that
we are hiding from the evil men.
Let us grow old and wither in here
and depart for our heavenly abode
only to leave this mortal body forever.
I only put my signature on big cheques.

((I actually have a wfp pad full of unfinished poems and random snippets I never turned into poems so I've got a pretty good supply of these hehe))

forgetting the light
is like losing your hearing -
when you do see something,
it's deafening.
When you're faced with something you don't understand, I think the most natural thing but also least interesting thing you can be is afraid.

and when the light moved on without its sun
i knew they day and darkness were done
and we lay in between in a land yet to be seen.-

tell me if you know
where the fish go
during hurricanes
i can't imagine them
tornado turning-
turning into the air
so do they attempt flight,
do they evolve wings,
are there fish in space turning-
turning left over scales and gills,
from all that turning?
you should know i am a time traveler &
there is no season as achingly temporary as now
but i have promised to return

maybe they only know
to swim in circles,
making a milky way
out of whirlpools,
making do
with the deep sea darkness
littered
with bioluminescent
stars.

weeks behind in my
gym class
can I condense
my bodies recovery
into a smaller frame of time?
perhaps attention
was due
to my schedual
which I was never told
would change in this manner
when has a program
ever worked me so hard
but the work sparks my mind
like lightning sending
signals to release the doves
and suddenly i feel
at one with the chilly
dawn air and i think
being behind put my health
one step ahead
as i do my workouts
more vigorously
than all the other
ballerinas perfectly in line
i must work harder
to not be left behind
and as i catch up
i feel the most defined
"i dont slay i slaughter, luke i am your father..." ~fatherfig
