Here's an activity i've thought about, i'm sure people know this one. I couldn't see another topic like this, so i thought i'd start it.

Use these five wordsbelow to create a poem - can be any type: Lyric, narration, whatever. Once you've posted your poem. Put down another five words for the next one.

"dimple," "horseradish," "wipeout," "organic," "cell."

I assume just random, me saying lines off the top of my head?

How can you speak
With a dimple formed by your cheek?
And while you're munching on a horseradish
As you coldly express
Your desire to wipe out
Every
Organic
Cell.

The cat in the hat
Split his spleen on the green
Grass that had tulips
Where a tea party with tea cups
Was being held by a little girl
Who had a pet squirrel
That played jazz with the sax
Which made your eyes go lax
Until the squirrel suprised all
Banging his golden bells 10 feet tall!

Climb the apple tree
carefully, Grace.

Throw out your hand and watch
as the envelope flutters to the ground.

I see a llama in the next field
charging towards you.

He is the odd colourings
of blue cheese.

Oh shoes, shoes!
How I love you!
My tears stream down my face
With grace
Soaking into the soil
My eyes are in turmoil
Because when a dolphin with fins
Gambles and wins
In the pouring rain
And then flies an airplane
Away from you
And you go to the zoo
For your shoes
You get the blues
Because the dolphin took
Your pocketbook
Along with your shoes
So now you really have the blues
Because your money is all gone
And you can't put your shoes on!

OMG that was such a spur of the moment poem! lol

This rocks!

Myth says...

I've heard a rumour
that fruit salad is the cure
to the common cold.

The truth is to stop believing
in these strange notions
set by the swindlers.

For I have tried this salad
to no avail and my head feels sore
and I curse the swindlers to Hades.

Perfume-laced

Fun to play with words...even when they turn out oddly.

Words: lilting, darkling, fated, dear, hallowed.

In the lilting song of summer evenings
When the darkling clouds converge
Above the fated, lonley road
Then will the songs of fairies merge
With the dear, the sacred, hollowed tune
Of wind and raindrops softly falling
Then will the bards begin to sing
Of winter's end and love's beginning

star, teeth, glow, wind, tear, fly

you ought to read this.Wiggy your poem is very grand and unique.

i know a man with few yellow teeth,
he brused trice a day
the Toothfairy was kind to hiom
so she made his work pay.
now the man i knew so well
has pearly white teeth,
they glow at dawn, the glow at dusk.
like the stars and
unlike elephant's tusk
and when i count the stars at night
the man, he take a lonely flight
the wind it blows,
the lion, it roars
and i wonder
why can't pink cats fly?

sleep noon salt virus age

_________

The next day I sleep till noon
Is the day I will play a bassoon
And the salt and pepper shakers
Will be captains on the LA Lakers
A liver virus will infect me
And my dog will climb a tree
My age will up 10 years
And a pig will be greeted with cheers
Before I sleep till noon again
Because I don't want it to happen again-
You see
My fairy god mother told me
That the next time I sleep till noon
I will turn into a hairy baboon!!

____________

Three cheers for completely random poems!!!!! It really gets my muse goin'. :D
