Izzy/Issachar/Izz

"Where'd you get this type?" Neo said, taking my knife right out of my hands and holding it in mid air.

"What's it to you?" I said, crossing my arms and looking him up and down.

"Hey, chill. I'm just curious." The knife floated back over to me and I grabbed it. I have no idea how he managed to do that, but I didn't care for chit chat. "So," Neo said, "You live here. What's down this hole? 'Cause something strange is going on down there."

Wade shrugged, "It's been here forever. Never really cared to explore it."

I rolled my eyes. Were they just going to stand around looking at each other all day? "Well, there's only one way to find out." I leaped over the edge and started skittering down the wall without even seeing if they following me.

I felt a sudden pang of shame for being so quick to think the worst of him. True, you really couldn't trust anyone these days, but he had been just trying to stay alive... just like me. "Alright, I'm sorry... but I'm not. I had a good reason for jumping and you shouldn't have snuck up on me. Next time I may have my shurikens at the ready." I said, softening up. Oh no, was I losing my edge. I steeled myself and put a hand on my shuriken. "Next time, stay where Izz can see you, or you're going to have some serious problems."

I grinned, it wasn't a very reassuring one.
Injured, alone- helpless
"what trouble?" my voice was cold as ice...

"You're only on a trial, it's not a smart idea to go and piss off the boss. Are you stupid?" My voice was strong and steely, but I feared that I was shaking in my spot. "So why don't you go on back to the train before Izz notices that you're gone." I debated escorting him out, but I didn't want to show weakness by trying to scramble up the ladder with one hand. He didn't move. "Go,"

"In that case, maybe it's better for me to avoid all the trouble..."- I spoke quietly, but something in my voice made her shoulders shake- "after all, I don't want trouble- by the way, could you deal with a climb so... high?"
My smile disappeared, killing a member of the group may complicate things, but we were alone, and she was injured- so getting rid of her- if she'll make any problems- shouldn't be hard.
"We wouldn't you to fall back here again, would we?"

I glared at him. How dare he? I didn't have to be a mind reader to know what he was thinking in this moment. "I'll manage just fine." I pointed up the ladder. "Now, go"

Surprisingly, he turned, and started towards the ladder.

"Wait," I called. He turned. "That light over there," I indicated one of the flickering thirty year old light panels on the wall thirty feet in the air. I reached for a sharp shuriken fastened into a pocket in my belt. With a flick of my wrist, I sent it flying through the air so fast that in a blink of an eye, there was a shower of sparks only three feet away. My shuriken was lodged in the base of the panel.

The new 'trial member' only glanced at the shattered light fixture before throwing me an amused glance.

As the light died out, I noticed the girl's- umm- shuriken, stuck on the panel.
I gave her an amused glance: "was there a point in your little throw, or did you just tried to look intimidating- because if you did- you were pretty bad at it. I just stated the obvious. Option one, I could turn, get out of this pit and leave you alone.
Option two, I could kill you first, leaving no witnesses what-so-ever and walk away, if anyone will ever find you- which I highly doubt, it will be way too long for getting me. Or option three, you can stop trying to look tough and making problems, forget about giving me further problems- and will see what we can do about this arm of yours."- I took- admittedly- a dramatic breath, while she moved through her options in her mind.
She was wounded, I wasn't. further more- in the underground location- I had a hard time imagining what good would her wings or shurikens do her against me.
"So which would it be..."
She sighed- "Fine then, help me up."
I grinned, and offered her my hand.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted lately. I've been meaning to! But school and home was kinda stressful today :/ And there was a big storm at my house last night, so tomorrow I'm doing community work, so I won't be able to do much then :( I know this sounds like a bunch of excuses (and I suppose they are) but I'm sorry! Forgive me. And I'll write as soon as I can.

I hated giving in to this stranger, but I had to admit, it might be my best chance at surviving. Sure I had some skills with the the shurikens, but honestly, that hit to the light panel was just a lucky hit. My throwing wrist was probably sprained or maybe broken, so I wasn't much use for self defense. And let's face it, I'm hopeless without my self defense. Besides, if this guy had a useful mutation, what would happen to me then? He could kill me and make my body disappear. Actually, at this point, I was so ashamed of myself, that I didn't even care if he did kill me. "Whatever," I said. Without further ado, I plopped down on the ground.

"What?" he gave me a confused look.

"Do whatever... I don't even care." I said it, and in my head I meant it, but my mind went to my shurikens.

The 'trainee' raised both of his palms towards my chest. He was going to kill me. My hands left my weapons and moved to a defensive position over my face. All I could do was squeeze my eyes closed and wait for the end. But then, something crazy happened. I slowly more and more aware of another part of my body. An extra appendage attached to my back. My wings! I was aware of new muscles between my wings and my back. I was able to move them. I could move my wings! I rose off the ground. I was flying again. Only this time, I was in control. I looked down at the new guy to catch his reaction.

I know this probably wasn't the right thing to say, but this girls got balls. I personally did not feel like going down there and the marine wasn't budging. She stopped skidding I guessed, but something else caught my eyes, a girl with...with...oh hell! Are those wings?!!

She flying out of the hole in a frenzy like she was about to die. I turned towards the marine and he wasn't surprised at all. These people and these powers man; she looked back to towards the hole. Was she looking at the hardcore girl, or was someone else down there too?
Dear those reading.

AM I MAKING YOU YELL IN YOUR HEAD?!?!?!?!

I laughed, I missed my chance to get rid of her, now was time to get away with it.
"Well done! A fourth option!" She looked at me with shock, most people in my position wouldn't have laughed.
"I have a deal, if you'll forget about my 'options' I'll forget about you jumping in here- and we both go back without any problems."
I smiled, I didn't wanted to try my luck against a moving target, they're harder to hit.

Did he just laugh? I was freaking flying! But wait, he was offering me a way out. He wouldn't kill me. But I could fly. I obviously had the advantage here. I could just grab the ladder, drag it out of the hole and leave him there to die. But then again, there was a chance that my wings weren't powerful enough to lift the ladder. Plus, this guy drives a good bargain. It was tempting. I lowered myself back into the tunnel and onto the edge of the hole. "Alright,"

I pulled myself up on the ladder, then offered her my hand- "Glad we could come to an understanding"
She looked suspicious, but took it, after shaking hands, I turned to her, "Paul Lance,"
"Ash"
"Nice to meet you, Ash. Do you need any help with the arm? it looks pretty bad."

It was just beyond scary to see a gang infront of you. They couldn't see me, they were all turned around and looking at their master piece. The maste piece, was a burning building, with people who were screaming. It must have been the hiding spot of many. Finally I felt arm around my waist, i turned to look over my shoulder. Gabriel. He was the one who brought up the Sayers and that we should stay away from them, but now they were bringing themselves into the conversation. "What do we do?" I whispered behind me.

"Run?"

"No.... I say we find a way in. Or we pass them and find a different venue. They wouldn't be there considering they are here," I know he said where ever i would go he would follow, but I wonder how far I could push that. His arms still around me tight, it felt like he would never let go. I felt safe, and again found a new deterimation to find food.

"You have weapons.. right?"

"Ofcourse."

"Well," he removed his arms from my waist,"what's your plan to get around this?" He gave me a cocky smile. I smiled back and began to explain, although mt body was a firey redish orange somehow my face was baby blue. I didnt even know, that could happen.

Ash

I was stunned at the sudden personality change. Paul had gone from stand-offish to friendly in a heartbeat. Actually, from stand-offish to charming. It was a good change in him. He had even offered to help with my arm. Why was he looking at me like that? Oh, he was waiting for me to respond.

"Um, sure" I said, not quite remembering what I was agreeing to.
