Times are dark across the Misericord Peninsula. Invaders from the eastern tribes of Iltheus have been raiding the southern plains for months, setting ablaze the hearts and minds of the locals. But to beat back the storm, they need assistance-- namely, the Dux Domini. The Chieftains of the North are many in number, and heroes of old can be found among their numbers-- Brom Trickling and Sinestra the Healer, for example. Their Dwarven allies in Misty Halls and the Elves of Falembaifar's kingdom are at their disposal.
But things are not as simple as they seem. A dark, bygone power leads the soldiers of the east, a nameless fear that has been all but forgotten. Few remember its threat, and fewer dare to speak its name. Much must go right in order for the world to be saved, lest the darkness return and triumph over all that is good.
