Magic is taboo across most of Europe. The witches and wizards of England are under rgeat duress. Most are hiding in plain sight. A select few have escaped into the countryside or found ways into the upper classes. Now, though, famed sorcerer Apollo Cartingtonhas come to England to revive his school of magic-- the Royal Academy of the Magical Arts, English Division. A day has come where a simple letter has appeared in the hands of all magical people. It reads:

Dear Sir or Madam:
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at The Royal Academy of the Magical Arts, English Division, under the guidance of Headmaster Apollo Cartington. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on request. We await your reply by no later than Saturday next at nightfall. To reply, snap your fingers and say "Ego vadam ad Academy, magi ad me fiet."
Yours most sincerely,
Malcolm Moriarty
Deputy Headmaster

But not all is as it seems. Sometimes, those with magic are best left untaught, and other times, they may be betrayed by those closest to them. In Victorian England, nothing is certain, especially in the heart of London.

Powers Description: Excels at mindreading, being one of the most skilled mental magic users of the past ten centuries. Is also an excellent duelist.

Horrified that one of her children was a "witch," Apollo was forced to wipe himself from the pages of history among normal people, excluding his niece Sophia, who he remains close with. Since then, he has established magical schools across Europe and Asia, plus one school in America. He has returned to Britain to re-establish his first school following its bankruptcy, The Royal Academy. He adopted an American, Sinestra Hopkins-Jones in 1879 after he found her in Boston, MA.

Quiet, loyal, a little violent and aggressive at times

Is OK at teleportation, he can move like a few meters, at most, that's actually pretty bad idk why I said OK

Spoiler! :
Character Sheet

Name: Alice West

Age: 16

Race: Human

Personality: Alice comes across as quiet, studious and a little weird. Once you get to know her, however, she comes across as an enthusiastic, supportive person. She really loves learning about magic and new things. She’s also the type of person to become friends fast - not because she’s overbearing, but because she jumps on any potential friendship when someone is nice enough to her. But she’s not naive; she’s good at reading people and can be more than a little rebellious.

Powers Description: She’s still discovering them. Right now, she’s pretty good at healing magic and can make a potion or two, but she hasn’t had that much of an opportunity to try out other kinds of magic. She’s very new to the whole thing.

Views on Magic and Reasoning: She thinks it’s really cool and fun. She hasn’t really interacted with magical society as a whole yet, but she does have the growing suspicion that it’s similar to regular English society in how it treats people from different class backgrounds.

Class: Lower class.

Family: Deceased.

Backstory: All that Alice knows about her parents is that they were poor and passed away when she was only a few years old. She’s spent her childhood living in Carnaby Orphanage and going to the nearby school. When she turned eleven, she could no longer go to the school - so she switched to helping take care of the younger children and helping out in the local neighborhood. When she turned thirteen, she knew she needed more money to support herself if she ever wanted to do more than what she was doing. She knew it wasn’t traditional or proper to be her own person, but she couldn’t see herself getting married.

She ended up getting a job as the caretaker for an older, richer man’s book collection by chance. She was in charge of dusting and organizing the books. He let her read the books whenever she finished early. He had no magic, but he had a fascination with the occult. Multiple of his books were genuine guides on how to use magic. To Alice’s surprise, she could do some of what was described. She ended up getting her basic education in magic through that job.

But then the man died when she was fifteen.

Alice doesn’t remember much of what happened after that. There’s a year-long gap in her memory. She gets flashes sometimes; she doesn’t like them. She has a feeling that she was involved in something bad.

Since she lost her previous employer and hasn’t lived in the orphanage for the past two years, she’s been in search of a new job. She was debating finding a teaching position somewhere before she got the letter from the Royal Academy of the Magical Arts.

Profession: Student

Looks: She looks like the picture down below, courtesy of this Picrew! Alice has bright green eyes and a mole underneath her right one. Her hair is short and rarely styled. It was longer when she was fifteen and she doesn’t remember cutting it, but she very much likes how short it is right now. Her clothes are also nontraditional. She has a dress that she wears when she’s out, but when she’s in the flat that her previous employer left to her in his will, she’ll usually wear men’s clothes. They’re more comfortable and better suited to experimenting with magic.

Character Sheet

Name: Edward H. Blackwood

Age: 437

Race: Half demon, half human.

Personality: It varies depending on the situation. Edward considers his personality to be malleable, so he has a bit of a manipulative streak. But he’s overall a soft, kind person with a lot of enthusiasm - which makes him the perfect kind of person to teach. He also has a creative and rebellious edge to him.

Powers Description: He’s a jack of all trades. He knows a little bit of all kinds of magic, so none of his magic is especially strong. He has a decent amount of knowledge on recent healing practices, as well as darker magic. He can also do a little bit of shapeshifting, but not too much.

Views on Magic and Reasoning: Edward has been around for awhile, so he’s seen magic change a lot over the years. He believes that it should be something that’s celebrated and out in the open, but also acknowledges that’s not really possible. He also believes that magic is a very flexible tool that can be applied to multiple, nontraditional circumstances.

Class: Middle to upper class right now, but comes from a much lower class background.

Family: One of his moms was a demon; the other was a human. Both are deceased.

Backstory: N/A

Profession: Teacher of Practical Applications of Magic at the Royal Academy of the Magical Arts.

Looks: He looks like the picture down below, which I made using this Picrew! He has long, messy auburn hair and dark eyes. His skin is on the paler side. Most of his complexion probably comes from his human side, but something about the structure of his face gives off a demon vibe. He appears to be somewhere in his mid-to-late twenties. It’s not intentional, but he totally comes off as a bit of a heartthrob - I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the actual characters or NPC think he’s attractive.

Name: Vincent Hill (V or Cent for close friends; Mr Hill for students)

Spoiler! :

Age: 27ish
Race: human/mountain nymph hybrid

Personality: Generally a bit reserved, curious to a fault but it's hard to tell unless he's comfortable enough to get excited. Always a little bit lost, both in terms of figuring out literal directions and when it comes to actually answering questions or remembering appointments. He likes talking, sort of, about things he's seen, things he's learned, things he's made up, not always entirely discernible from one another. Not likely to ramble on, exactly, but entirely likely to be asked what he wants for lunch and somehow make the conversation about music or weather or names of stars in various languages instead, in a rather charming sort of way. People generally like his voice, especially when he hums or sings to himself.
He's not exactly clumsy, either, but always kind of out-of-place in closed spaces with a lot of physical things around him. Very fond of heights; might not be unusual to see him sitting on the roof. He prefers it under his feet rather than over his head.
There are spirits in his mind, or close enough to it. He hears them, whispering, asking for access, answering questions he never asked. Offering things, sometimes, although he tries his best not to listen to those.
(also, dunno where else to put this; he's pretty gay, but could hold romantic interest for all genders)

Powers Description: He excels at summoning and all sorts of spirit-related things. Also very good at types of illusion/glamour, especially using music/voice. A decent healer, although he holds a certain fear of healers and prefers actual medicine. Knows enough about shielding his mind to keep other people from overhearing the voices he carries around and stop anyone from rummaging through his memories.

Views on Magic and Reasoning: He hates it. Doesn't know how to live without it, of course, but hates it nonetheless. It cost him too much, and he's seen it cost others. (He could change his mind, probably.)

Class: um, kind of classless? middle-class academic?

Family: none anymore, although his father is probably still out there somewhere

Backstory: bit long oops~ be warned of some tragic gays content towards the end

Once upon a long enough time ago, a human struck by grief after failing to heal her family ventured far and high into the mountains, where she found a very handsome, very lonely nymph dancing with echoes and thin clouds. He'd never seen a human before, and so he hid in mist and snow of the highest mountaintops—but she took out her flute and lured him back in curiosity, and it wasn't all that long before they exchanged stories and wished upon stars, and found themselves entirely in love.
The human thought it a second chance at happiness, and when little Vincent came along she played the flute to him as well, in those times he spent not running after the breeze or prying secrets from the moon. She taught him what she knew of magic, too, how to heal and how to call upon spirits and monsters beyond this life's reach. And when he grew up enough, sometime around the age of seven or eight, she took him and his father on a journey down the mountain, to the human settlements of her old home.
Vincent doesn't entirely remember what happened. He remembers letting go of his mother's hand, and then a darkness so intense it was blinding. Dying, such an odd thing. He remembers falling, or perhaps flying, or perhaps he just made it up for comfort—and then the way his mother's eyes looked when he gasped back to life. The way she seemed gone, intangibly Wrong. The way his father watched her on their way back home, and kept watching her for a long time to come, as she carved her flutes to make sounds more akin to screaming, and taught Vincent to accept deals of trickster spirits and some much worse, patient, lurking things. He doesn't remember much of what happened when he did the latter: sometimes flashes come in dreams, but they might as well be worries rather than memories.
His father told him, when Vincent was 14 or so, that his mother died in a thunderstorm, slipped and misjudged the distance to the edge of the cliff, and disappeared into the mist and sharp rocks of the mountain down below. Vincent's father had never lied before, and Vincent had no proof this was a lie either—other than the insistent thought in the back of his mind, pinpointing how his father's tone felt just a little bit off.
Vincent left the mountain with the next spring, when the spirits in the mists of the heights knew him too well, when he ached for company of others a little more like himself. He met a boy, a cute one, with gentle hands and soft hair and no talent for music whatsoever, a boy who made him smile and who asked his help very quietly, very shyly, to help bring foward the spirit of his older brother. Vincent hadn't touched magic until then. Only a spirit, only for a talk, the boy had said, and Vincent loved him enough to agree to as much and far worse, had he been asked. He called for the spirit; he wove music into his work to anchor the boy's brother to their plane enough for them to talk, enough for the spirit to appear almost tangible enough to touch. Vincent didn't intend on the spirit seizing the opportunity to walk the world of the living in the one body present close enough to his own. Vincent forced him out of the boy before the spirit got to take a step in his brother's body—but the damage to the boy's mind was done, and to his heart along with it.
Vincent was tempted, then, when the boy's heart stopped and his eyes turned empty, to bring him back. To try at the very least, although he doubted he was good enough of a healer for that. But he remembered his mother and he swore he would never, and so instead he left that town behind, and found his way to one of the Academies. He wasn't sure what he wanted: sometimes it was to learn more, learn enough, to be able to do what his mother had done. Other times, it was never to touch magic again. Either way, he was a quiet student who graduated with honours, and then took a job at the library of the School in Vienna. Until the Royal Academy in Britain opened its brand new doors, and he accepted a teaching position in hopes he could steer the students clear of taking their magic too far.

Profession: Teacher of Spirit Relations. Aware the students probably expect some summoning fun. Planning on not letting them do any and stick to theory and basic harmless communication instead. (OOC planning on having him do it anyway  )

Looks: Tall, sort of lanky, probably skinnier than he should be. He tends to wear simple suits and let his hair do whatever it wants, which usually means sticking out and curling at odd angles. Very commonly seen with more than one pocket watch (which doesn't particularly help him keep time nonetheless). He wears glasses when he reads.
I liked the aesthetic idea, so here's a quick one for him.

Jenevieve/Jen Limone (she/her)
Spoiler! :
Character Sheet
Name: Jenevieve Limone (Goes by Jen)
Age: 14
Race: human
Personality: ENFP-A
Very friendly and talkative, a total optimist. Jen's greatest fear is of being alone, because as long as there are people, there is hope :]

Powers Description:
Conjuration (can open up a pocket dimension to store random stuff, can take out objects from there at any time)
Jen has always considered persuasion a power of hers as well... although perhaps it's just her ability to annoy people until they do what she wants :p
Also currently has an obsession with rollerblading, so she'll probably be skating around a lot (and yes, rollerskates were invented in 1760, so this is at least sort of historically accurate XD)
Decent at levitation, loves chemistry and potions, but not so great with teleportation (hence the rollerblading)

Views on Magic and Reasoning: Magic is awesome!!! It should definitely be used to make the world a better place. Sure, some people abuse their powers, but overall magic is a great thing!
Class: Middle
Family: (opt)
Backstory: (opt)
Profession: student

Mariel/Mar Filomin (he/him)
Spoiler! :

Character Sheet
Name: Mariel Filomin
Age: 15
Race: one of the “Pure Ones,” more specifically a Tefineri
Personality: IxTJ-x
Mariel is shy, as are most of the Tefineri, but he is also hard working and studious.

Powers Description:
Mariel isn't very experienced with using his powers yet, but his current areas of interest are mind magic (especially telekinesis) and the element of air.

Views on Magic and Reasoning: Mariel believes the Tefineri have unfairly classified magic as bad, and he personally sees a lot of potential in it.
Class:
Family: Doesn't currently have the best relationship with his family (they think he's a fool for leaving their island to go study magic).
Backstory: It is rare for one of the Tefineri to be born with magic, and if they are, they hardly ever receive training (the Tefineri believe that magic causes laziness). However, Mariel has always been fascinated with magic, and so he was overjoyed when he discovered that he was able to use it. But his family discouraged his dabbling in magic, so Mariel ventured out into the rest of the world in search of a teacher. He hopes to return to the Tefineri someday and prove that magic can be good.

Spoiler! :

Name: Sir Alfred Hubert Capenum
Age: 605
Race: Vampire
Personality:. Easy-going when in a good mood, can be cruel. Likes to tease. He's just a whole goof, very loud.
Powers Description: Typical vampiric power with the added bonus of having been a sorcerer before being Turned. His magic focuses on various forms of energy. Depending on the type of energy (positive, negative, high, low, that kind of thing) and its source, Sir Alfred can be very powerful or very weak.
Views on Magic and Reasoning: Magic should be taken seriously, but not too seriously. Sir Alfred regards it as a quirk similar to double-jointedness or an equally mundane abnormality.
Class: Aristocracy
Family: None to speak of except for his mother (Mary Carter), who managed to gain immortality around the time of his birth and now travels the world -wreaking havoc as a witch. Sir Alfred also has an on-and-off relationship with several beings: a fairy, a sorcerer, another vampire, and a harpy.
Backstory: Sir Alfred was born into a very low class family in 1280. His mother sacrificed his father (a vicar) to gain immortality shortly before Sir Alfred was born, so he grew up learning sorcery from Mary and her father. Under their instruction he became quite powerful but grew jealous of his mother's permanent youth. At the age of 50 he finally found a way to gain what he desired so badly that didn't involve the death of a loved one. Sir Alfred was Turned by a high-born vampire by the name of Martin Blakewell, and they entered a close relationship shortly after. While Sir Alfred finally had virtual immortality, he did not have youth and this is something he remains bitter about to this day.
Sir Alfred climbed his way to the aristocracy and stayed there through the centuries, posing as his own descendants and sometimes spending a few decades as a beggar to change things up.
Profession: Aristocrat, patron of the arts, and professor of Sermomancy at the school.
Looks: About 5'9 and very lanky. His hair is pure white and cut to chin length a bit raggedly. He often leaves his face unshaven until he's grown a beard a few inches long, then promptly cuts it all off. He's very pale and has an extremely angular face with high cheekbones. His eyes are an unsettlingly stark shade of yellow. He's usually smiling broadly.
Sir Alfred likes to dress in the finest, most current clothes possible. He wears a neat black suit jacket and trousers with an emerald green waistcoat. On his black ascot he has a silver brooch with a green gem in the center. His shoes are always impeccably clean, no matter how muddy or dusty the floor is. When he's out an about he wears a neat black top hat or bowler hat, both silk. He always has a pair of spectacles on a silver chain. They're usually perched on his long nose, but they serve only cosmetic function. Sir Alfred is a very fast walker with long legs, so people are often intimidated when he comes pelting down a hall. He sometimes carries a silver-topped cane for flair and likes to swing it at people and breakable things.

Name: Nigel Stoutbridge
Age: 18
Race: Halfling
Personality: Likes to make short jokes, always ready to make friends, a bit of a slacker. Will help people with homework but won't do her own. Scornful of the aristocracy in general.
Powers Description: Nigel can manipulate metal: liquify, solidify, even make it gas. She can change its shape or strengthen it. Her powers don't work on pig iron. Getting metal back into its original shape is a bit tricky for her, which is why she often gets caught when she picks locks.
Views on Magic and Reasoning: It's fun and her power is particularly useful for unlocking doors!
Class: Middle
Family: Nigel has a mother who's a live-in seamstress for a Baron's daughter and two sisters, one older and one younger.
Backstory: Nigel's father ran off when she was about eight. She and her mother and sisters all work for the Baron's daughter, a very flouncy, unkind person in general. Nigel has a very low opinion of her and the upper class in general, so when she first discovered her powers she used them to make life harder on the girl by changing locks and destroying precious jewelry. She was dubious about the school, but her mother insisted she go.
Profession: Student
Looks: Nigel is about 3'1. Her skin is pinkish, and her eyes are a sharp, steely gray. Her hair is very curly and light brown, pinned up in a messy bun. She's very stocky, as is typical for a halfling. She wears a loose corset and sweeping skirts in faded orange.

Spoiler! :
Character Sheet
Name: Hazal Bulut

Age: 17

Race: Fae

Personality: She's fae, so she's slightly shifty and tricky. She's kind of confusing to be around (she talks cryptically without meaning to) and somewhat forgettable, which is a side effect of her power. She's snarky, but in a quiet way. She's very self-assured and a little elitist/snobbish. She's not very trusting and is mysterious, but she does enjoy doing selfless things when she gets to know people.

Powers Description: She's mnemokinetic, which means she can manipulate memories. Her strongest talents with this are taking memories away from people, altering the existing ones they have, and given them entirely fabricated memories. She has a collection of trauma memories she took from the druggist's patients on the DL. She also has a little bit of talent in plant magic. She's also got a lot of experience in glamouring herself to hide her wings, but she won't use it at the school.

Views on Magic and Reasoning: She thinks magic should be used for gain, whether personal or on behalf of everyone. She subconsciously thinks that magic users are better than normal people and doesn't understand why magic users are forced to hide.

Class: Lower-middle

Family: She has family back in the Ottoman Empire, but doesn't really know how they are. She hasn't spoken to them in a while.

Backstory: She was originally from the Anatolia region of the Ottoman Empire. She was part of a fairly wealthy family, but when her parents tried to marry her at 16, she ran away from home. She ended up in London, where she worked odd jobs. She was working as a low-level secretary for a druggist in London before she came to the Royal Academy.

Profession: Student

Looks: She's slender and has pointed ears and iridescent wings. Her hair is a warm, deep brown, shoulder-length, and slightly wavy, and her skin is tan with olive undertones. Here's a pic I drew of her:

Spoiler! :
Yes, I realize it's not Monday, but @Magebird got me excited, so XD - VP

It was a fine autumn day in London: neither too hot nor too cold, and it was just sunny enough to be enjoyable. The day was, really, perfectly normal. Almost... too perfect, if there was such a thing.

But then a thing happened.

A significant thing.

In the pockets of magical men, women, and children from Shetland to St. Ives, a letter appeared.

Anyone with even a drop of magical blood in their veins knew the name of Apollo Cartington, the man that had established schools from Moscow to Salem. He was a visionary and great sorcerer, and the mere fact that he would extend an invitation to anyone would generally be seen as out of character for such an esteemed gentleman.

Or was that just what he wanted the world to think?

Professor Moriarty had sent the letters out via magic as Apollo had instructed. The ancient man had his doubts about the Headmaster's scheme-- who wouldn't?-- but he knew the young man knew what he was doing. The school had already taken in quite a few recruits, including two brothers and a one of the staff's relatives, and the entire staff had been given their supplies and positions-- barring, of course, the dreadful Centaur. He had said he'd bring his own supplies, but they had yet to manifest.

"Aren't you the least bit excited??" Deserae said, bouncing up to perch on the edge of Alexander's desk. She had to brush aside several plants, a small microscope, and an antique mirror to do so, and Alexander winced as one of his plants came dangerously close to the edge. "Come on, Stardust, you can't tell me you're not excited to finally have students!"
"I'm excited," Alexander said lazily.
"Then show it!!"
"Yay."
"YOU are HOPELESS," Deserae declared, bouncing back to the floor. "'Yay' is not showing excitement- bird!" This last exclamation was directed at a bluebird she saw fluttering outside Alexander's office window, and she dashed over to look at it, completely forgetting what she and Alexander had just been talking about.
"Dizzy," Alexander said. He sounded exasperated, but he had a small smile on his face. "You can't ditch conversations like that."
"But there was a bird," Deserae said, as if that should explain everything.
"Your students are going to be less than impressed if you constantly dash off to look at birds- wait, what kind of bird?" Alexander asked, coming to join her at the window. Deserae pointed to the bird, grinning.
"Look at that wing structure," Alexander murmured. "Almost perfect. That's one pretty bird."
"See??"
"You still can't ditch conversations to look at birds."
"You're no fun."
"And I assume you want to keep your job."
She sighed and leaned against the windowsill. "I do."
"... but?"
"What?"
"I feel like there's a 'but' on the end of that sentence."
"Technically speaking, 'I do' is a full sentence on its own. No 'but' needed."
"You were going to add one, though." Alexander gave her a half-smile. "I know you too well, Dizzy. Out with it."
She looked up at him. "I can't help feeling like this is a mistake. I never intended to become a teacher, and I don't know if I can do it. You know me. You know how I am." She searched his face, purple eyes serious for once in her life. "Stardust, am I making a mistake."
"Absolutely not," Alexander replied immediately. "You'll do great, as long as you don't get distracted by birds. Or books. Or squirrels. Or a pen that makes a fun noise when you flip it between your fingers-"
"That was one time."
"I'm just saying." He put his hand over hers on the windowsill. "Believe in yourself a little, Dizzy."
She smiled and looked back out the window. "You're right. I'll do 'great', as you put it, even though that's grammatically incorrect, if you look at the technical formation of your sentence-"
Alexander laughed and walked back to his desk. He still had a few things to organize and plan before school was officially in session, and he had no time to pay attention to Deserae going on about grammar and technicalities.

When Alice felt something suddenly appear in her pocket, she was about to enter her flat after another failed job search. She had heard rumors that a teaching job was available just around the block, but the position had just been filled when she had gotten there.

Alice didn't like to believe in bad luck or superstitions. She didn't want to blame all of her misfortunes on something that might not have existed. But she did believe in curses and magic, and she was starting to strongly consider that she had been cursed sometime in the past year.

She let out a sigh and made her way up the stairs of her flat.

That was when she suddenly felt something appear in her pocket.

She stopped, key halfway in the lock.

...There hadn't been anything in her pocket before.

She glanced around the street and hesitantly slipped her hand into her pocket.

To her surprise - and also not to her surprise - she found there was an envelope there.

Alice hurried on inside.

xXx

Alice was sitting in her flat now, legs spread out in a comfortable pair of trousers as she got herself comfortable at her kitchen table. The envelope was empty on the table beside her; the letter, now read, was in her hands. She couldn't wrap her head around what had been offered. It wasn't that she was against the idea of continuing her schooling - or that she didn't want to learn about magic.

She just couldn't believe someone had actually found out she could do it.

And it was even harder to believe that they wanted her at her school.

"Miss Alice, your research is astonishing,” the man - the one who kept frequenting all of her slowly returning memories - said. He was grinning, but it was a beautiful sort of smile. His entire body seemed to be swelling with a childish joy. None of his previous smiles had been like this. They had all been cruel and heartless and honestly a bit cliché. But this? This felt like the smile of actual person. For a moment, she could actually believe that she was talking to someone inherently good.

She blinked away the memory as quickly as it appeared.

Then she shook her head. Even if she wanted to go to the school, she had no way of getting the materials listed in the letter. Her funds were low right now. Even if they weren't, she had no idea where she would even buy everything. All of her magical knowledge came from a random set of books.

...And that notebook - the one she must have kept in the last year - that she hadn't brought herself to touch yet.

She ran her fingers through her hair and got back to her feet. It was a good opportunity to learn, but she could continue learning independently-

There was a stack of books in the corner.

Alice blinked.

They were sitting next to a modest bag that was in a style Alice would have picked. The titles on the spines matched the ones listed in her letter. There were other materials there, too. She hesitantly got to her feet and went over to the bag. It seemed bigger on the inside than it was on the outside. She couldn't put an exact size to it, but it was large enough to have a stack of clothes, an old, leather-bound notebook, and a bundle of fountain pens all tied together with a green ribbon the color of her eyes.

...None of that had been listed on her letter. It also implied that whoever had left those extra items - and the required ones - knew her better than most people did. She had already been curious about the school just so she could learn, but she had a sneaking suspicion that the person who had sent these materials had met her sometime in the past year. How else would they know her so well?

It was decided, then.

She was going to go to the Royal Academy of Magical Arts.

She snapped her fingers and said, "Ego vadam ad Academy, magi ad me fiet."

Spoiler! :
Character Sheet
Name: "Amoku" Aamokan
Age: Well, actually he's about three thousands years old, but let's just say he appears uh 16.
Race: Ex-Dragon (Kind of)
Personality:Fiery, salty, angry, a troublemaker. Amoku likes to pick a fight wherever he goes and rarely calms down. Even when he was a dragon, Amoku was never the most stable creature. As a human, he lost most of his power, but retained his arrogant personality.
Powers Description: Amoku has the power to manipulate fire, but only fire that's already existing. He can't spout a burst of flame, nor can he suddenly enlarge an ember, but he can move it around to how he desires. Also, he's closer to immortal than a human, so he's slightly more durable. And, he can spew a little fire from his mouth when it's really hot.
Views on Magic and Reasoning: Amoku has absolutely no love for magic. His curse into a weaker form was the result of magic, and he doesn't consider his pyrokinesis or fire-breathing magic.
Class:Middle-Class (Though he acts aristocratic . . .)
Family: His father was supposedly a powerful dragon king, but Amoku has no idea about his ancestry at all.
Backstory: For a sum-up of his backstory, what happened was someone put a spell on him to act a little violent, causing other dragons to curse him into a weaker, smaller dragon. He hates his dragon form, and at one point, he just permanently turned into a human.
Profession: As a human, he really has no profession, but he enjoys pickpocketing.
Looks:Fiery hair and an asian appearance.
they told me to never give up on my dreams.
