Year 885 of the New Era

Of the numerous amount of reptilian-appearing Kynde, you grew up listening to tales of species past, existing in worlds and dimensions unseen of. So you committed yourself to proving the tale that fascinated you the most true - the one of the homo sapiens and how they desecrated their own home.

After a selection process and years of grueling training, you and four others are sent to the Milky Way galaxy - to Earth, to see what it has become for the sake of discovery. The environment on Earth is told to be harsh and unforgiving, and your resources are limited.

In time, can you prove the legend of the human race true? Or will you be condemned to failure on your home planet? Either way, you will be remembered as a Kynde who, well, tried. The outcome of the journey is in your hands.

The simple truth is that authors like making people squirm. If this weren't the case, all novels would be filled completely with cute bunnies having birthday parties.

"All systems go."

Ilitan gripped the throttle to his left, with his clammy hand, and leaned back into the pilot's chair. He squeezed his eyes shut, closing out all the blinking lights, the holograms, and even Trillinish at his side. His heart raced, beating and beating and beating as the mechanisms of the ship started off.

"Ready for launch in 3..."

Ilitan blindly reached for the ignition startup button at the front dashboard.

"2..."

He gripped the front of his seat regardless of whether his claws dug into it.

"1..."

The engine roared, and the long-distance ship shook violently.

"Liftoff."

The ship plummeted into the air from its docking base and soared past the gray clouds of Jynn, past the open sky, and into the stars beyond. By now, Ilitan had opened his eyes; There was no turning back.

In the winter months, snowstorms and rainfall in the Patagonian Ice Fields can drastically affect the landscape. Worsened by heavy winds, such storms can reduce visibility and lead to glacial calving, ice collapses, and avalanches. During these conditions, travel is not advised.
