Bloody Christmas

St. Joseph’s Orphanage sits at the end of a small street, off the main hustle and bustle of city life. It has only a few children, none of who knew their parents. They all were left there by their mothers, fathers not in the picture. There are no holidays in St. Joseph’s Orphanage, the caretaker too poor to ever host a celebration. A Christmas tree has never been pitched in the cramped living room. No gifts are resting below the tree Christmas morning. As anyone can see, there is no Christmas spirit in St. Joseph’s Orphanage.

But that all changes when the glowing red nose of a scarred, bloody reindeer pierces the blackness of night. Rudolph, he calls himself, expecting the kids to recognize him. They do not, and are instead confused that a reindeer is glowing and speaking. He ignores this, and instead explains to them that Christmas is in danger.

The elves that Mr. Clause had enslaved and forced to do physical, unpaid labor violently revolted. Rudolph and his brethen had escaped the bloodshed, but not before losing three brothers. And worse, Santa was captured and is being tortured by Sugarplum Mary, the leader of the elvish rebellion. Rudolph comes to these orphaned children in hopes that they’ll be able to save Christmas, since according to him, their mothers had done it before, during the war of Elvish Enslavement – the same war that claimed their mothers’ lives.

He offers each of them the weapon of their mother, and tells them that the next evening, he would return to them with his brethen, and they would ride into battle, assuming the children accept.

Ideas for weapons include but are not limited to:
[String Light Whip]
[Explosive Ornaments]
[Candy Cane Knives]
[Bladed Discus Wreath]
[Christmas Tree Star Shurikens]
[Nutcracker Tonfas]

The age of the child should be between 7 and 16, as they are orphans in an orphanage, but also need to be somewhat old enough to get a grasp on the situation. Normal, non-fantasy English names would be preferred, since the setting of the story is in America. Based on the whole orphan thing, they really wouldn’t have unique backstories. Remember they’re still children, so any majorly adult themes wouldn’t exist here. Language should be limited to only the older children. I really want someone to play a Jewish character. These kids have grown up with just each other, so loner-esque characters would need serious reasoning. The character templates are very simple, so there is no need to go crazy. Unless you want to.
