When the gods choose you to save the world, do you accept? Do you run?

When you woke up this morning, you did not expect to wake up to the shining face of your patron god. Nor did you expect to be told you had to save the world. Your god told you that you had to meet the other six at the Center City, which was built by the gods to be in the approximate center of the Retharad-- even gods aren't perfect. Of course you accept; a life of being hailed as a hero is definitely better than never being able to go back to your regular routine.

They tell you that the Red Eye is missing. The Red Eye is a precious gem and ancient artifact that is essential to the survival of the world. The Red Eye was sitting in its' old, decrepit temple and an uneducated thief who stumbled upon the temple stole everything s/he could find. That included stealing the Red Eye from the temple. Not even the gods know where s/he went, and so they are sending you and the other chosen mortals to find it.

Cities
Spoiler! :
Center City
Center City is the largest, most diverse city in Retharad. It is inhabited by large populations of all the races. It is the trade capital of Retharad because of its' accessibility to all of the other cities. It has a bunch of houses and shops surrounding the marketplace and the large stronghold in the center, called Thurm Keep.

Grey Mountain
Inhabited by mostly Dark Elves, whom live slightly underground in tiny cave-like homes, going above-ground to visit other elves' homes and to shop. Grey mountain is primarily a farming city and they go to Center City to trade for other materials.

Jade Temple City
This is a city built by and primarily inhabited by the extremely religious High Elves. The city is built around the Jade Temple, hence the name of the city. Other than training Mystics and non-combative priests, they are also Retharad's primary source of cloth.

Rald'bthar
Mostly inhabited by dwarves and gnomes, Rald'bthar is the mining city of Retharad. Outwardly, you see one large castle, but it is really the entrance to the rest of the city, hidden in the mountain. Inside the city is made of stone and metal, and much of it is run automatically with machines and automatons.

Kahkruhm
This is the home of the Orcs. Their Overlord rules over the city from inside Dragontooth Mountain. Orcs are the best blacksmiths in Retharad, and so they buy metals from Dwarven and Gnomish merchants in Center City, and bring it back to make armor to sell when they next go to buy metal. The homes are not the most well-constructed, but who can blame them? They were built as a temporary settlement during the Fire War, but they stayed because the Orcs' previous home was destroyed in the war.

Southeast City
Another Human-built settlement, Southeast city was also built during the Fire War. It was made to station soldiers to more easily defend Red Eye Temple, and it mostly worked; the Red Eye was not damaged or stolen during the war. Now that the war has passed, Southeast city is still a military settlement.

Golden Temple City
Golden Temple City is another High Elf settlement. This city is centered by a large pyramid made of pure gold. That pyramid is the Golden Temple. The city makes its' money off of primarily tourism. The city also trains priests, but not Mystics.

Erethare Forest
A relatively large camp-like city in the forest. It is populated by mostly Wood Elves, because of the fact that most city-dwellers have only the tiniest knowledge of living in the wild. Erethare Forest is known for the significantly larger amount of Archers that come out of it. Erethare Forest produces fresh, hunted meat to sell in Center City.

Other Notable Places on the Map
Spoiler! :
The Great Forest
A forest with a large tree inside. Said to be inhabited by living trees, though nobody has the guts to check.

Giants' Camp
A camp built by semi-sentient, but bloodthirsty giants. It would be best to steer clear unless you want to end up in a soup or roast.

???
People have seen a house on the Moon-shaped island off the coast, but no-one has decided to see what it is. Probably safe to steer clear unless absolutely necessary.

Red Eye Temple
The crumbling temple that used to hold the Red Eye.

Races
Spoiler! :
Human
You know what humans are. Don't tell me I have to explain.

High Elf
An Elven race with yellowish skin and naturally raised eyebrows. They are naturally proficient in magic. Like all elves, they are slightly taller than humans. All Elves ears are pointed, but a High Elf's ears are pointier.

Dark Elf
Their skin is grey because they were blessed by Raya. They are naturally gifted in the skills needed by a Rogue. They are slightly taller than humans.

Dwarves
Talented miners and, occasionally, blacksmiths. They are naturally muscular and have a slightly shorter, stocky build.

Gnomes
Gnomes come up to about half the height of a human. They are skillful tinkers and they are the primary producers of the automatons that will defend cities in their time of need.

Orcs
Orcs are green skinned intelligent humanoids whom are usually a similar height to humans. They naturally have a muscular build, well-suited for making armor or swinging heavy weapons. Other than blacksmiths, many orcs are also mercenaries.

Wood Elves
The forest-dwelling, pale elves from Erethare Forest. They have slender bodies and small feet, but that doesn't stop them from applying themselves to whatever they want to do. Wood Elves are the most likely to travel outside of their hometown to live somewhere new, although the ones who stay in Erethare Forest are mostly hunters out of necessity.
