"Yo. Welcome back. Boss says we got another mission, A rank apparently. I hate it when he treats us like kids."

You sit, along with six other members. You've known each other for most of your lives, though that doesn't mean you like the others. You've banded together for survival, entertainment whatever you choose to call it. The boss interrupts your thoughts with a soft cough, he's the only one that everyone respects because he's the strongest out of all of you.

"A rank. The request comes from an anonymous gem collector. You are to recover an eight carat pink star diamond ring currently housed under the protection of the Millani family in Arela. Go find the rest of the information yourselves."

The boss stands up and leaves.

The mission starts now.

The World:

Once, there was a time when the world was united, but that is no longer the case.
After the war, no one remembers why it was fought or what it was called or perhaps people just choose to bury in the past instead of admitting to their own faults. The world dropped into a state of anarchy, and it seems only natural that an order of some form would arise out of the chaos. And so comes the slow progression towards segregation, discrimination and power. And thus the continents of Arela, Ezix and Youna were born.

And you, bandit, reside in Ezix.

Arela:

Welcome to Arela. Please enjoy your stay.

Spoiler! :
The world's elites live on Arela, a place of comfort, security and luxury. The continent lies on the equator which guarantees its spring-like weather all year round. Arela has a total of fifteen city states each one of them boosts a particular theme. For example, Venia is the city of love, Uiilu is the city of books. Arela is an incredibly photogenic continent, due to its stable weather. Flower that cannot be seen in the rest of the world will bloom here, and animal species that may have gone extinct continues to survive in Arela carefully nurtured environment.

Arela's tourist seasons are April, June and August. However tourists must go through a mandatory health check, police check, security check and must be in groups of five accompanied by two Arela guards. For those who wish to enter Arela for reasons other than tourism, they must present the correct qualification, authorization and pay a certain amount to gain access to Arela for a limited amount of time.

In the last world census, it is estimated 15% of the world's population resides in Arela.

Ezix:

"We reject no one, so take nothing from us. "

Spoiler! :
Ezix is the land of exiles, outcasts, political criminals, murderers and people like you. It's place where the rules are made to be broken, Ezix is a nameless place and that is exactly what makes it dangerous. It's a hostile city where only the strongest gets to survive. It's a dog eat dog world, or at least, that's how the saying goes. But the people residing here form bonds out of necessity.

"You scratch my back, I scratch yours. I have dirt on you and you have dirt on me, so let's bury the hatchet. I won't bother you so long as you don't bother me."

Ezix was an industrial city before it was shut down during the war, much of the landscape are slums, abandoned factories and high rise buildings. It goes without saying there is a large underground network, in fact most of Ezix's population choose to live underground as the polluted air can pack a lethal punch over a long period of time.

In the last world census, it is estimated roughly 30% of the world's population resides in Ezix.

Youna:

Welcome to Youna, your registration number is: xxx • xxxx • xx • xxx

Spoiler! :
Youna is the middle class, it comprises of ordinary citizens living their ordinary lives. You work to earn money and you use it to gain pleasure. However, you must remember to carry your registration number on you at all times. Youna is a bustling metropolitan jungle, with high-rise buildings in the centre and forest surrounding its costal areas. Most citizens either live in apartments or single-storey houses, the crime rate is mild and the summers are hot and winters cold. Despite its mundane appearance, out of all the continents Youna is perhaps the best in terms of raw materials. Arela is a man-made paradise from the ruins of a previous time, Youna is merely the victim of time and greed. If one travels three or so hours out of the city, there are forests and mountains that still remains unexplored.

Spells

Core spells:

Spoiler! :
Each member has a maximum of five core spells. Core spells are basic spells for defense and offense. Do not make these ridiculously powerful like constructing a dome where your character is protected from every type of harm possible. Not only is that unrealistic, but it also falls into the category of god-modding. Also remember that the higher the spell, the more mana it will cost.

A typical core spell would look like this:

Enhance - a protective shroud of aura around the user that enforces the user's physical strength for a limited amount of time.

A member can increase their amount or intensity of core spells by gaining more mana via practice and training.

Apex spells:

Spoiler! :
Apex spells are a member's ultimate spells, using these will cost an immense amount of mana but in return these have extremely destructive force. A member is allowed two Apex spells, with one being a backup spell. Take into consideration what your character excels at. If they are great with swords, don't give them a power that doesn't utilise swords. The Apex spell should compliment the user.

It might look like this(but you'll have a better title): Speed of Light: The ability to travel at the speed of light, the distance will depend on how much mana you want to spend.

Non-SB related rules:

Keep in mind that your character can die, and once your character dies, you are out of the SB and a new member will come and replace you. You are allowed to kill other characters but within the bounds of reason. You cannot for instance, throw a character down a cliff for no reason, nor can you assume that character doesn't put up a fight. Make sure to consult with the character owner as well.

Therefore, keep your writing of other people's characters to a minimum. Dialogue is an exception, but if it's a fight, keep to yourself, unless you've managed to gain permission from the owner or working with on a collaborative post, in which case, proper notification to the whole group is required.

If you get kicked out of the SB, don't whine about it. And as always, try not to let things spill out of the SB. We're all here to have fun.
