Imagine: thousands of fairy tales, thousands of bed-time stories, thousands of mythical creatures from a fantasy—all coming to life. Characters that only exist in movies or books walk the streets of the real world with their three-dimensional identity, living and breathing the same air as everybody else in the fairy tale town of Storybrooke.
It sounds like a miracle of a fantasy-lover's dreams, but there is one problem: these united fairy-tale characters have no idea how they ended up in this strange land.
Omniclysm wrote:Just reminding us before this gets on the road of starting this SB, please remember that this is not the show, and should not be the same as the show. The plot may not be the same. We can make it up as we go, if you wish, but do not feel any pressure to stay to the show!
xxx MORE STUFF
Spoiler! :
This is largely based on the TV series Once Upon a Time, but you don't have to watch it to join. The overview says it all; fairy tales of any kind are placed in a magically-created town called Storybrooke.
Unlike the show, new memories and identities are not going to be implemented. Instead, their memories of their past life is at the back of their head, but no one seems to remember how they appeared in Storybrooke. It just...happened. But it really wasn't that bad! In fact, it was as if whoever brought them there also placed a deceiving satisfaction upon them all. They fit perfectly as puzzle pieces and seemed to complete the town as restaurants opened, apartments were rented, and businesses were created.
"But how? How?" was the looming question ahead.
Still, the characters work and live their day in their new lives, only reminiscing into the past like teenage schoolgirls.
Then the disappearances started to happen. First young children were being taken in the middle of the night, but gradually, the culprit took older people who were more gullible and naive.
The question rose again: "How? How?"
Who placed the curse that ripped them away from their homes and into this world? Who is responsible for the kidnappings?
It is time for answers.

xxx PLACES
Spoiler! :
Click here for a map of Storybrooke! (not drawn to scale)
It is impossible to leave Storybrooke. If you try to leave the town lines, you'll find yourself following a winding road that only leaves you to the other side of the town. It is an infinite, closed-off loop, so there's no use in trying to leave. Instead, here are some places you could visit:
- Icee Oil: the only gas station in town, run by Elsa and Anna, and is also known for its delicious snow cones and slushies
- Animal Magic: a pet store and breeding center filled with any household pet and a few exotic ones
- Briar Needles: a local textile shop that guarantees satisfaction in any product, run by Aurora and her godmothers in the woods
- Slippers: a shoe store run by Prince Thomas
- Hearts: an obscure casino and bar run by Cora, tucked away in a dirty street alley
- Treasures of the Sea: a souvenir shop near the docks filled with modern human artifacts, run by Ariel
- The Isles: a fancy restaurant and hotel run by Hans
- Granny's Diner: a popular restaurant and hangout place
- Granny's Bed and Breakfast: a good place to rent a room
- The Rabbit Hole: a place to have a drink, smoke, play pool, and share secrets
- Storybrooke Library: books of everything can be found here, accompanied with a clock tower to look out over the town
- Mr. Gold Pawnbroker & Antiquities Dealer: remnants of the fairy tale's belongings are found here, and rumors have it that there are traces of magic being hidden by the owner
- Storybrooke General Hospital: the only hospital in town, but has great doctors and promises better well-being
- Town Hall / Sheriff Department: a place for order and control is manned at these places
- Park: wide green fields, a few picnic tables, and a playground for everyone to enjoy
- Wishing Well: placed in the park, it is said that the well returns things that were once lost
- Forest: encompassing the edges of town, it is thick in trees and vegetation, and includes a small creek and toll bridge
- Dock: mostly stocked with fishing boats, and overlooks the vast ocean
...and more.
The town has everything you can think of. If your character has a certain type of business, let me know and I can add it into the list.

I've always been reluctant to run an SB with a ton of people, but generally people are already familiar with the fairy tale characters, so I don't think it'd be too much of a big deal if we're a little on the big side.
If anyone wants a character not previously mentioned and reeeally wants to play it, holler in the DT and I can add you on the list.
Completely full, sorry!
