I kinda imagine most Witch Hunters have the blood of a witch in them, either they don't realize it. Or there fully aware and make complete use of it.
An angel, a knight, a man who will bring light to where there is only darkness, I am the Morning Star, the Bringer of Light, hail to me as I am King Lucifer!

I just had an idea about your character. If you decide to be a Witch Hunter who is indeed a witch, would you maybe be open to SB'ing as the Mayor as well?
You wouldn't have to do another profile or anything, in fact you could shape the mayor's character however you wanted. It would make sense that a witch hunter who is also a witch would want to start off in a new town at the top of the food chain so to speak; therefore it would be logical for your character to manipulate the mayor as a secondary way to get rid of witches.
Opposed to that, you could write a scene where you kill him and sometimes appear as him (assuming you want your witch to be able to shapeshift) but from there you can decide on whether or not you discovered the location of the prisoners beforehand.
You could mix it up however you want, but I realise if you want to role him separately it'll mean more writing for you, so I understand if you absolutely detest the idea
