Wordsandwishes~

About your most recent post, can you explain your character? I'm confused what our abilities are?

Well, my idea was that it varies from Darkling to Darkling. One might be gifted in healing, another gifted in combat, and another gifted in illusion. Most would have multiple gifts.
If called on another purpose such as a guardian, you would gain the gifts of a guardian.

Thoughts?

I like the whole idea of the gifts.
But what does a guardian do?

Their soul purpose is to protect; with their lives if necessary.
The one thing they've been guarding since the beginning of time is the Sacred Grove. Within it lies the source of all knowledge and power.

And we're going against that? Or are we fighting to protect it?

Well, that's up to you. The main reason Shade was concerned was because she thought the King would try to use the Darklings to find this grove; If he were to unlock its power, he would be unstoppable.

However, there are mixed opinions among the Darklings on whether or not the grove should be used.

Cool. I'm thinking at least some of the Darklings might have been raised by humans like my girl, isolated and homeschooled of course. What do you think? Also, I'm planning on Willow trying to stay awake for as long as she can, maybe a day or two. She's actually pretty frightened about getting the brand. Everybody have little plot bunnies hopping about in their head?

Okay. I think I'm understanding now. So my character, Ivy, knows she's a Darkling, but doesn't yet know what her ability is. :)
Makes sense?

And what exactly does the brand symbolize? That you're a Darkling?

It symbolizes that you're Blooded Darkling; One that has killed before.

So what do we want to happen in the morning, on the way to the inn, and at the inn? Just do we have any plans so we're all on the same page?

Well, we're gonna have to disguise ourselves as royalty... and then we'll leave the inn and arrive at the palace the same day, or whatever.

Anyway, if we're gonna be royalty we need titles n' stuff.

What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.
