I'll have my profile up later today, I promise, and I'd like to create a second character too (antagonist, since I haven't really tried that before) ^^

At long last!

Name: Michael Rathon

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Clan Allegiance: Helion Republic

Antagonist or Protagonist?: Protagonist, kind of.

Appearance: 6'1, athletic build. Light gray eyes that matches his hair and fair skin. He smiles a lot, but most of the smiles are fake. His expression is almost always friendly, but the greed and pride in his eyes never goes away.
Spoiler! :
Image

Personality: Money and fame is all he has ever wanted, and he will stop at nothing to get it. Michael is manipulative, deceitful, cunning and smart, and he uses these abilities to his full advantage. He knows he's attractive, and has seduced countless people just to get what he wants. It doesn't matter if it's a man or woman, young or old, if the person is willing to pay (with money or information) Michael really doesn't give a shit. But he doesn't just fool around, he provides people with all kinds of things and does all kinds services. It can vary from assassinations and drug dealing to helping a kitten down from a tree, as long as he gets payed he'll do it.

He's never content, always wants more and more. This sometimes makes him do stupid and risky things that any sane person would avoid, but his greed constantly pushes him further.

Of course, even Michael has people that he cares about, and he is very protective of those few chosen ones. I you ever want to get to him, the best way would be to hurt his loved ones.

Backstory: Michael grew up on the street (or a star-ship's equivalent to a street), without parents, money, food, clothes etc. He had nothing. He stole whatever he could to get by, and after a few years he had become a skilled thief. He saw kids like him dying from starvation, and at the same time he saw people rich beyond belief walk past and ignore their pleas. That was when he realized that if you're going to make it in this world, you need money and you need a reputation. Ever since he has tried to work his way up towards the nobles.

Strengths and weaknesses: He's quick, agile, good at sneaking around, blending in to crowds and such, which makes him an excellent assassin, but he isn't a fighter. Most of the time he just talks himself out of situations, and if he can't do that then he'll try to run away.

His greatest strength is his silver tongue. He can talk his way out of almost any situation and is a fantastic liar and actor. If he thinks he can get something out of you, he'll be the most charming guy you've ever met.

Has a lot of contacts in the underworld, and is always informed about what goes on in the world. If you want information, Michael is the one you should talk to.

Military? What rank: No.

Social class: Lower class originally, but had fought his way up to middle class.

...

Name: Krauld Vuoroseth, but most just call him General Krauld.

Gender: Male

Race: Shredder

Clan Allegiance: Hrettgar

Antagonist or Protagonist?: Antagonist

Appearance: 8'3. He always wears armor, so no one really knows what he looks like underneath. He has glowing red reptilian eyes and his lost tail has been replaced by a mean-looking metal prosthesis, covered in spikes. The metal tail is connected to his nervous system so he can move it. Uses his tail and a lasergun when he fights.
Spoiler! :
Image

Spoiler! :
Image

Personality: If he can't use you, he doesn't like you. In fact, he doesn't like anyone. He has a temper which is impossible to keep up with. His men fear him just as much as they respect him for his skills as a fighter. He can be cruel, especially towards humans, who he hates more than anything. He'd prefer if the whole universe was only inhabited by shredders, but at least he finds the other races somewhat tolerable (except for humans, obviously).

The years of fighting and the constant hate that he feels has made him both jaded and cynical. He couldn't care less if his men gets killed out in the field, and if they're in the way he's likely to kill them himself.

He barks out orders all day long, but does not talk much otherwise. Never, ever talks about his private life (not that he has one) or his past. If someone is stupid enough to ask that person will fins himself either dead or running for his life seconds later. Oh, and for God's sake, don't say anything about his tail.

The only ones who he shows some kind of respect for is his superiors, though he only acts that way because he wants them to trust him long enough for him to be able to kill them and take over himself. He is cunning, and his brain is always plotting some kind of scheme.

Backstory: He was once a peaceful (or at least as peaceful as shredders get) and very talented weapon designer, happily married and father of two beautiful (?) little girls. One day his ship was attacked by the Vagabonds, who broke into his workshop. He killed a great deal of them, even though he was outnumbered, but eventually they overpowered him. They cut of his tail and left him to die.

Luckily he was found by the Hrettgar clan, who took him on board and nursed him back to health. He was the only survivor from his former ship and swore to avenge his wife and children. He joined the Hrettgar military and through equal parts of skill and deceit he managed to become one of Hrettgar's generals.

Strengths and weaknesses: His armor is as good as impenetrable, but have weak spots around his eyes. He is a skilled fighter and very strong, but when fighting humans he goes berserk and loses all thoughts of tactic. His heavy armor and weapons slows him down quite a bit, and you can always hear him coming. His suit of armor needs to be loaded from time to time, and if it runs out of energy he can't move. If that happens he is forced to climb out of the armor and fight without it.

Military? What rank: General

Social class: Upper class

Name: Riju Ahn

Gender: Male

Race: Ar'dekk

Clan Allegiance (if any): secretly Kryon Cultists, outwardly Muorrok

Antagonist.

Appearance: Riju's skin is midnight blue, his hair is long, wavy, and white. He has slanted, pale eyes and his face's features are sharp - pointed nose, wide mouth with thin lips. He's nearly seven feet tall. Riju is thin, sickly thin, which is appropriate for him considering that he is always sick, more so than any of the other Ar'dekk he knows. His posture is always slouched over, and when he walks he drags his feet. His bones protrude from his skin. He really is too thin for his own good.

Personality: Riju isn't very tolerant of others. He's forever grumbling or complaining about something. He just doesn't like other people, especially humans. Because Riju has always been the runt of the liter he's accustomed to being talked down to and ridiculed. He hates it when he thinks someone is looking down at him, or making fun of him. He hates it when others underestimate his power just because of his fragile appearance. He's mean and rude and has no compassion for others whatsoever.

Backstory: Riju was always the pathetic one, he could never keep up with his siblings. His family was so caught up on his general worthlessness that they never did notice his advanced intelligence. His mother didn't even acknowledge him, instead she preferred to ignore his entire existence, hoping he'd just one day go away. Riju did exactly that. Not long after his departure did he find the Kryon Culists, there people admired him for his smarts, and there was enough muscle around that he really didn't need any of his own. After five years on the ship he became one of the Chief commanders.

Strengths and weaknesses: He's extremely smart, which is required of his race, but his intelligence is heightened from the norm of his people. He has a larger memory capacity. His weaknesses are that he's always weak, always sick, dangerously thin, and always in pain. He has no physical strength whatsoever, always relying on his magical abilities. He can't even be up on his feet for more than a few hours before growing weak and needing to sit down. He has a very low tolerance for pain.

Military? What rank: None.

Social class: Does this even apply to him...

(I was thinking that Riju could be a kind of undercover spy that boards on the ship after the attack. This okay?)

that's fine, as long as you can get him onto a ship, of which there are three: the Sledgehammer, the Dawn Treader, and the Loreley so far.

Name: Delphina (Del, F/Phina to those close to her) Calen
Gender: Female
Race: Elven
Clan Allegiance (if any): Slaneiir
Antagonist or Protagonist? Protagonist
Appearance: (Be descriptive, pictures are ok.): Del is light greenish-tinted, with an average height and a slender build. Her hair, which is a dark-brown, is braided, with loose strands framing her face. Her eyes are icy blue, and stand out among the earthier colors of her features. She wares a grey uniform, which is standard for her alliance military battalion. She doesn't carry weapons on her person unless she's expected to go into battle, and even then, rarely uses them.
Personality: (Be descriptive, 50 words min.): Del has a tendency towards introversion. This is not to say she can't communicate, more that said communication tends to make her tired. She likes to read and travel, which is why she joined the Slaneiir Space Force. It's been rather dull since, however, since the faction rarely does anything other than trade business off world. This has caused her to become incredibly weary of passport duty, and a little bit action-deprived. She believes strongly in right and wrong, but she finds that sometimes the law and morals contradict eachother.
Backstory: (Be descriptive, 50 words min.): Del grew up on Slaneiir, to hard working, but poor, parents. They worked hard collecting their neiborhood trash for the Recycler, hoping to get enough money to keep the power on, Because of this, she grew up dreaming of a better life. Unfortunately, her parents didn't make it long enough to see her get there, having died from an explosive accident with the Recycler, but she did manage to forge together an education, of which she is proud. She loves learning, and continues to research all she can about "Magic."
Strengths and weaknesses: Despite her background, she is highly proficient in magic. She is, however, extremely protective of friends. If given the choice between a friend and a planet, she'd pick the friend.
Military? What rank: Yes, Master Chief Petty Officer (MCPO)
Social class: Poor-Middle class.

Hey, janika, my character is hiding among the rafters in the ceiling, so your character wouldn't be able to see him :)

I'm going to post today, by the way.

Name: Javert Renard

Gender: Male

Age: 28 (which, if age-related development is elongated along with life expectancy, and at a constant rate, would put him at approximately 21 in today's terms)

Race: Human

Clan Allegiance: Craetmiir Guild

Protagonist

Appearance: Javert is tall and scrawny, with long curly hair that tends to stick out at odd angles. Being rather accident-prone since a young age, and having a love of exploring the ship, Javert has sustained a number of injuries, most notably gouging his left eye out when he was ten (eight-ish to us). He now wears an eyepatch (which he loses often and can sometimes be seen walking around without it -- which can either creep out or amuse crewmembers), and often sports cuts and bruises, and at times some sort of cast or bandage. He dresses simply, usually in just a t-shirt when he's working, and he likes to wear a jacket anytime else. He also has a utility belt around his waist, in which he carries small gadgets and a few weapons and useful items such as flashlights and nail clippers, and he has a small backpack strapped on almost everywhere he goes, carrying a few books, spacebucks and identification papers.
Spoiler! :
Image

Personality: Javert is very friendly, sometimes to a fault as he is very persistent, and determined to get people to like him. He's a people-pleaser, and often conforms himself to the type of person he's talking to, and will act completely differently with one person than he does with another. This can cause a lot of stress for him, and confusion for others, as it gets difficult keeping track of all his "personalities," and he tries to avoid large groups of people if he can -- since there might be one person who he's constantly sarcastic and pessimistic around, and another who he's always sweet and "family-friendly" around, for instance.

Backstory: Javert was born on a small planet orbiting Luyten 726-8B (aka UV Ceti), a flare star in a binary system somewhat close to our solar system. His parents were of the Craetmiir Guild, traveling on the ship Gaea, and seven months after Javert was born, they departed once again. He grew up mostly on the Gaea, traveling to different planets with his parents and, of course, exploring the ship. He was especially fond of poking around the engines (though the engineers didn't particularly like that), and he still loved to run around down below even after he was hanging on a pipe one day when he was ten, and it snapped, sending a blast of pressurized gas into his face, completely obliterating his left eye. His parents were both chefs -- professionals and some of the best on the ship, serving mostly the captain and the high-ranking officers, and directing many of the other cooks. Javert learned about cooking growing up, and when he was eighteen (fourteen-ish), he became a cook serving the engineers, though he rather longed to be an engineer himself.

Strengths and weaknesses: Obviously, being blind in his left eye is a disadvantage. He has depth perception issues, and of course can't see anything to the left of him. One of his strengths is his agility, he's very quick on his feet and has a high metabolism, so he can stay active for somewhat long periods of time. Being that he's often injured, that can make a difference in a fight, especially if he's broken his right arm (again). He's rather strong, with mostly lower body strength seeing as he's on his feet most of the day, and is experienced with a few weapons, primarily high-tech gadgets that the engineers whip up from time to time (and are therefore subject to malfunction).

Military rank: N/A

Social class: Since his parents (who are upper-middle-class) don't provide most of his care anymore, upper-lower-class. He wastes a lot of his money, and has a tendency to loan his friends cash when they're in a tight spot, which seems to happen often.

Other: Out of all his friends on the Gaea (which is practically everyone) and folks on various planets and other Craetmiir ships, Javert has one friend in particular who he considers his very best friend. A particularly hairy dwarf engineer, and the main source of his collection of gadgetry. The dwarf's name is Nathaniel (he took a human name when he started working with them), and he is probably the only person Javert just acts like himself around.

Other other: I work at a tax office, so I'm p busy this time of year, and I'll probably only be posting once or twice a week (which is partly why I didn't make a more important character like a captain or officer or s/t), though if something particularly exciting is going on, I can make an effort to post whenever there's a dull moment at the office.
