Hey. This is the DT for the co-writing of my newest Storybook. Please do not post here unless you are me or TheLuckyTurtle. This is purely for discussing ideas for the SB between us two. This is for us to discuss issues, creating the SB, or deciding on an answer to people's questions.

Hello. Thank you for the opportunity again. This is going to be fun.
Do you have any further ideas on what in particular you want out of this SB?

just some type of fiction. I was thinking of making it something like magic or vampires and zombies or something.

I could also work with realistic fiction.

I have no specific idea for the storybook, but I would like to hear some ideas from you. Any rough plot ideas like the exact type of SB?

Well, there are a few magic SBs already out there and vampire SBs happen all the time and are slightly cliche in some instances. Zombies... that could work. There have only been a few since I joined the site that have popped up.

As for rough plot ideas, I'm not sure. I have a few but none are developed enough to be made into a storybook. I do have a setting that, though slightly common, might be appealing and that is simply a high school, of which I have a description of the appearance and layout written down already.

If we were to bounce off of that somehow, I think that we could get a specific idea before the end of the weekend and possibly start before the beginning of next.

All right. Off of the zombie idea and the high school setting, this is the plot idea I got.

You and blank # of students are trapped in a high school. The zombie apocalypse has occured and you and those kids managed to make it to the high school with one weapon, deciding that the high school would be the less crowded and thereby have the most resources during the zombie apocalypse. Your family is zombies and only you and the other high schoolers remain. The school is surrounded by zombies.

What do you think?

It could work. Should we limit it to only high school students or open it up to other age groups as well?

leave it open as characters need to be high school age. Anyone can place a character regardless of age. The characters should all be between 15 and 18.

Any particular events that should occur?

not that i can think of. Maybe at some point everyone manages to escape the high school, but thats it. I like to let the SB's flow with the creativity of everyone involved.

Now how about we set up the rules.
No god-modding is obvious.
I also think we should limit everyone to having talents, but nothing supernatural (except zombies).

I agree with that. Should weapons be limited as well?
And no sex, right? But romance is allowed.
Gore would probably be allowed, but kept to a minimum, correct?

weapons brought limited to one but people can improvise weapons from any items found around school
No killing of characters without permission from both of us.

And permission of the owner of the character in question.
I think that covers the rules...

What about a character template? Obviously the basics would be included, but anything other than normal?

just the weapons that they use, the talents that will help survive the zombies, and other small things like that. talents could include great improv weapons, fast running, able to build bombs outa soap and tootpaste (xP), and other things like that.

As with the zombies, I think a Left 4 Dead theme could work, meaning there are zombies then there are special zombies like the witch, tanks, etc.

I suppose this would be the appropriate time that I have no clue what witch or tank zombies are. o_O

just look up left 4 dead 2 zombie types and you will find a list of all the stuff im talking about. If the idea is overly complicated, I'll ditch it.
